Goin' Bulilit (transl. "Goin' Little", abbreviated as GB) is a Philippine television sketch comedy show broadcast by ABS-CBN, Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, All TV and Kapamilya Online Live. Originally directed by Edgar Mortiz, Badjie Mortiz and Frasco Mortiz. It aired on the network's Sunday evening line-up from February 6, 2005 to August 4, 2019, replacing Ang Tanging Ina and was replaced by iWant Originals and Rated K. The show returned on July 1, 2024 on Kapamilya Channel's Kapamilya Gold and Yes Weekend afternoon block line-up airing as a pre-programming to TV Patrol and TV Patrol Weekend.

History

Goin' Bulilit premiered on February 6, 2005. The show was a spin-off of the 1980s comedy sitcom Goin' Bananas starring Christopher de Leon, Edgar Mortiz, Jay Ilagan and Johnny Delgado.

The weekly show provided different segments such as "Palarong Pambata" (children's games), "Use in a Sentence" and Ano Daw (one liner jokes), as well as parodies of some top-rating shows including Rated KKK (Rated K), The Buzz, and Lovers in Pares (Lovers in Paris).[1][2]

In 2015, Goin' Bulilit marked and celebrated their 10th anniversary with the entire former and current cast members.

On June 9, 2019, the show was pre-empted to give away to the airing of the ABS-CBN's Binibining Pilipinas 2019: The Grand Coronation Night at 10pm.

The show aired the final episode of its first 8 seasons on ABS-CBN on August 4, 2019.[3]

The show was re-aired on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and Jeepney TV from 2021 to 2024.

On May 21, 2024, ABS-CBN announced that Goin' Bulilit would be returning as second iteration, nearly five years after the first iteration of the show ended in 2019. The auditions for the show's new cast members was held on May 25, 2024.[4] It is also announced that It's Showtime kids composed of Argus, Brieses, Enicka, Imogen, Kelsey, Kulot, and Jaze will be joining the program.[5][6] The show returned as a daily program on Kapamilya Channel, with its simulcast on Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and All TV.[6]

Production and crew

The show was created by Edgar Mortiz, who co-directed with his son, Frasco Mortiz & Badjie Mortiz.[2] Roderick Victoria served as the creative manager. The creative/writing team was led by headwriter Sherwin Buenvenida, and included writers Rolf Mahilom, Josel Garlitos, Toffie Runas, Yani Yuzon and Badjie Mortiz.[1]
