Traditionalism task force

Organizing resources so we don't end up both doing the same job seems like a fine idea. I'm better equipped to do biographical pages as opposed to ones on theology. Right now I'm planning to put up pages on Eliot Deutsch, Jean-Louis Michon, Brian Keeble, Jean-Pierre LaFouge, and Joseph Lumbard. At some point I want to expand the pages on William Stoddart and Heinrich Dumoulin. I should mention that I'm going out of the country in a few weeks and so won't be available much after that… Let me know what I can do to help! Temp07 (talk) 13:08, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not it shouldn't. Reverted. Will look at in detail later. Rich Farmbrough, 11:56 29 April 2008 (GMT).

Three revert warning

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Theory of everything. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. --McGeddon (talk) 18:14, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! A suggestion: instead of remedying Amazon links, wouldn't it be better to gather the ISBN-10 code from the Amazon page (or from the URL itself, if identifiable), then remove the link and add the ISBN magic word after the (now unlinked) text, between parenthesis? After all, this way people can have a fair choice of sources for the books they're interested enough in to actually click the link. Beside, those (like me) who do prefer Amazon, can always install the User:Lunchboxhero/monobook.js script, which is referred to whenever one opens the ISBN-linked page. -- alexgieg (talk) 01:27, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Alex, that's not a half bad idea. It also has the advantage of increasing the 'semanticness' of the markup. I'll have a look at implementing this when I get some free time. Cheers, CmdrObot (talk) 15:15, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Shaykh Abdul Hadi

Hi Alexander,

Regarding my change on the Agueli page if whether or not Agueli was a Maliki. His Shaykh Ilaysh el Kabir was a Maliki, and his father Mohammad Ilaysh, was the head of the Maliki college at the Al Azhar, and also given the title "Restorer of the Maliki faith". Without him, there probably would not have been any Malikis in Egypt or the Western Arab countries. So it leaves little doubt as to whether Agueli was a Maliki or not. But, unfortunately, there is no quote.

All the Best and Kind regards,

Farid —Preceding unsigned comment added by Faridshahi79 (talkcontribs) 22:20, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lifetime

Why is it a problem? Either persondata does or does not use the default sort. In anycase it breaks nothing. the higher up the article deafultsort is the better. Why you may ask? Because sometime navboxen or infoboxen have embedded categories. Rich Farmbrough, 14:36 27 June 2008 (GMT).

SmackBot makes a number of changes that are available to all WP:AWB bots. The issue you raise is related to these, I have posted a bug report on the WP:AWB pages. Regards, Rich Farmbrough, 16:47 27 June 2008 (GMT).

Thanks

Thank you for improving and expanding the Wolgang Smith page I created last year. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wolfgang84 (talkcontribs) 22:15, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ramu50 is not a Wikipedia administrator, nor familiar with userbox policy in depth. There appears to be no problem here. Don't worry about it, Alexander. Have a good thanksgiving... Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 03:16, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I know he's missing the point of the rules (or maybe just trolling, who knows?). But thanks for your support. Let's just ignore him. :-) -- alexgieg (talk) 10:44, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
