The single will be released in the UK on 19 April 2010 and is expected to be released around the same time Worldwide. Music video
The music video for The Only Exception was released on February 16, 2010 and was directed by Brandon Chesbro. It begins with Hayley Williams lying beside her lover on the couch. He's asleep and Hayley is looking worried. She gets up and writes a note to her lover saying "I'm sorry". She walks out the door and enters another room where she meets her father and hugs him. She then enters another room, her bedroom and views a photograph of her parents on the mirror.
She then moves through another door, into a restaurant, all dressed up and sits at a table. Men keep sitting down and getting up in front of her. Hayley moves through another door, and sits down beside Paramore bassist Jeremy Davis in a church. A bride walks up the aisle and Hayley runs out of the church upset. She then realises via flashback how much her lover means to her and moves back through all the rooms until she moves back into the room with her lover sleeping on the couch. She gets rid of the "I'm sorry" note and lies down beside her lover again.
The main concept of the video is mixed with shots of the band performing and Hayley singing while lying on the ground, surrounded by valentine cards sent in to them by their fans.
