Cima della Bondasca

Hi Zacharie, On Swisstopo the height for this peak is given as 3267m not 3289m, which you changed it to. Could you shed any light on this? Thanks, Ericoides (talk) 08:20, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I saw your changes. Thanks, Ericoides (talk) 08:57, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
While I'm here, I'd appreciate your input – as a regular contributor to mountain articles – to this discussion. Ericoides (talk) 12:29, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bristen

Hey Zacharie

Sorry, I was a know it all... you seem to be right stating that Bristen belongs to the Glarus Alps. I was obviously influenced by my "patriotism" (too strong a word, but couldn't find another one suiting better)... It seems to me though that these definition of different parts of the alps is a little bit spongy. Using political names for these is a bit unfortunate... As I am not in the position to change that I will have to leave it this way... ;-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Serafina marteen (talkcontribs) 19:37, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your hint. You're right of course! I changed it just now. Obviously I still have to learn a lot about wikipedia and how to apply my research knowledge correctly... Serafina marteen (talk) 16:50, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

With a height of x

Can I just make the small point that the construction "With a height of 3,328 metres above sea level, X is the highest peak in Y" that appears in many of your articles sounds very much like a direct translation from the German (?) and doesn't sound right in English. We would write "X (3,228 metres) is the highest peak in Y". The "with" phrase sounds very strange! Thanks, Ericoides (talk) 07:36, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply. I think "reaching a height of" would be better, although I think that simpler constructions are usually superior, zB, "The Hornenhorn is 3,000 m high and is the highest mountain in Hornland", rather than "Reaching a height of 3,000 m, the Hornenhorn is the highest mountain in Hornland". But that is just my personal preference. Incidentally, isn't "mit eine Hōhe von 3.000 m" a German construction? I thought it was, hence my thinking that yours was a direct translation!) Hi. When you recently edited Punta Valgrande, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gondo (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Swiss space systems S3 in french/german

Hello Zacharie, yesterday I've tried begining to translate your article about S3 to french and german. They were both not accepted by the admin's. It's a pitty for swiss people to have to read english. They should have the option to choose their native language. In particular if it's the language where such a company is located. Perhaps you have a idea how we can handle this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bpf72 (talkcontribs) 09:48, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Sorry I have no idea of what are the inclusion criteria of French and German wiki. But probably the best thing you can do is to start an article about Payerne Airport (there are no French nor German versions of it) and include there all relevant information. Then you could do a redirect. IMHO that would be better than nothing at all. ZachG (Talk) 19:23, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
