Lorine Zineb Noka Talhaoui, better known by her stage name Loreen, born 16 October 1983, is a Swedish singer and music producer, of Moroccan-Berber descent.

Idol 2004

She became famous after taking part in the Swedish Idol 2004 where she was initially picked as a wildcard by the judges to join the singing competition. She sang:

Career

In 2005 she released single, "The Snake" with the group Rob'n'Raz. Then she became a television presenter with the Swedish station TV400, later renamed TV11.

Loreen took part in Melodifestivalen 2011 with the song "My Heart is Refusing Me" co-written by her with Moh Denebi and Björn Djupström. She sang in the Second semi-final that was held in Gothenburg and coming fourth in that round was given a second chance, but failed to qualify to the final after a sing-off with Sara Varga. The song was released on 11 March 2011 and became a hit for her on the Swedish Singles Chart reaching #9.[1]
