The Indian Journal of Medical Research is a peer-reviewed online open-access medical journal with monthly print on demand compilation of issues published.[2][3] It is published by Medknow Publications and operates under the auspices of the Indian Council of Medical Research.[2] Founded in 1913 as a quarterly publication, it was made bimonthly in 1958 and monthly in 1964.[2] From XXX, it has been published in monthly in two volumes with 12 issues per year.[2] The journal publishes original "technical and clinical studies related to health, ethical and social issues" in biomedical research.[2] The current editor is Anju Sharma[1] of XXX. In addition to regular issues, the journal publishes special issues and supplements[2] with the supplements published under the ISSN 0367-9012.Cite error: The <ref> tag has too many names (see the help page). It has been celbrating its centenary of publications between July 2012 and July 2013.[3] According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2011 impact factor of 1.837.[4]
