Improve the realtime page, display more data and graphics #19134

Hi @triplesixman |
Thank you for your answer. I'm going to find out on my side to have this tool developed. I don't use Matomo yet but do you think a developer will be able to implement this via a plugin he would create, without impacting the rest of the Matomo platform and future updates? |
Hey @triplesixman. Yes. That should be possible |
I actually just came here to suggest the exact same! The Page Views Per Minute graph from the screenshot above was REALLY useful to me, especially to easily investigate whether there was some intermittent downtime in the past 30 minutes. I think this is the only thing I miss from Google Analytics, that Matomo doesn't have yet. Thanks! |

Yet another request, hard on the heels of the one above... is there real time report like google analytics and how many page can be seen at ones |
And this request: "Question: What is your main concern about Matomo? |
To make this more focused, should we change the title to |

In Google Analytics, in the same page where I see the "visitors online" count, there was also a graph next to it where I could see the Page Visits per minute, in the past 20 (or 25) minutes. This was a very important graph for me, so I could see whether in the past 25 minutes there was an outage. For example, sometimes my website may not load at all for me for 2 or 3 minutes, but once I get back online, I could look at that graph and see if the Page Visits were at 0 during those minutes, to see if it was a global outage or "just me"." |

+1 This is the most important missing feature in Matomo for us. |
Hello,
Google analytics (Universal) has a bug since a few weeks on the realtime page and shows false numbers. According to what they said, they don't plan to fix this bug because they have developed the GA4 version. https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/228201905#comment283
But this new version does not allow to see the number of people connected on the site nor the number of page views per minute.
So I'm looking for an alternative and I found Matomo, but I notice that the Realtime page you propose doesn't give much information.
Do you think it would be possible to add the number of connected in real time and display the number of page views per minute? If we could find this same data on Matamo it would be great https://online-metrics.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Real-Time-overview.png
On a daily basis, we used realtime to ensure that our sites were stable, combined with a monitoring system under grafana. This allowed us to intervene as quickly as possible, especially when we noticed a drop in page views per minute, for example.
I think that following the bug of google analytics many will seek an alternative.
