Description

Unable to add a valid RSS feed to Twine. The feed is rejected with an error message despite working correctly in other RSS readers.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Twine
  2. Try to add a new feed
  3. Enter the URL: https://www.terminologiaetc.it/feed
    the feed from terminologiaetc.it
  4. Confirm the addition

Current behavior

The app shows the error message "Provided link doesn't contain valid RSS/Atom feed" and refuses to add the feed.

Expected behavior

The feed should be accepted and properly added to the app, as it works in other RSS readers.

Environment

  • Twine version: 1.49.0
  • Device: Motorola G84
  • OS: Android 14

Additional information

  • The feed works correctly on other Android RSS readers:
    • CapyReader
    • Feeder
    • Feedflow

I don't know if I am making any mistake, but this seems to the issue is likely with Twine's RSS parser rather than the feed itself

thank you for your job!

I'm having the same issue with my feeds. All other readers work just fine

Can you post links to your problematic feeds as well, please? Helps me with testing.
