Hello, world! (See what I did there?)

I'm Jacob, and I'm a tinkerer and writer. My open source projects often have sneaky goals, such as:

• friends, a command-line program that helps you to keep track of your relationships with the people you care about. 💖
  • sneaky goal: serve as a welcoming place for first-time open source contributors to create issues and pull requests in a supportive environment. 👩‍🎓
• git-self-blame, a simple git plugin that lets you take the blame for code you didn't write. 🥰
  • sneaky goal: teach others (and myself) more about how shell scripting works. 👩‍🏫

In addition to my own projects, I contribute to plenty of other peoples' repositories (such as lots of security work in the Rails community 🦺), and sometimes write about my experiences.
