On this page you will find a list of side quests that you can be unlocked near Inn in the Glade. It is a tiny location in the middle of the world map. Its location is shown in the screenshot above. You can reach the Inn by e. g. starting in Neuhof and travelling north-west or starting in Ledetchko and heading to north-east direction.

Sheep in Wolfs Clothing

How to unlock: Talk with innkeeper Andrew.

This quest can be unlocked during the investigation of poachers as part of the quest Hare Hunt (starting in Talmberg) or by simply asking Andrew for a job. The goal of this quest is to gain the trust of a band of poachers and to set up a meeting with their "leader" known as Hanekin Hare.

During the meeting with Andrew, which begins this quest, it may be necessary to gain his trust by a lie - then use persuasion (10 points) or impression (5 points).

Tankard for Andrew

Upon Andrew's request, you must retrieve a tankard that is in the possession of Jacob the farmhand. You will find this character in the Neuhof stables. There are several ways to obtain the Andrew's tankard:

1. Steal the mug - It's best to stun Jacob after he goes to a secluded place,
2. Win it in a shooting tournament - you have to bet 15 groschen to begin. After starting the competition, aim at the right-hand target and try to hit the center of it. Jacob is unfortunately a perfect sharpshooter and in order to beat him you will probably need to score more than 20 points.
3. Enforce the delivery of a mug - You must pass an attempt to intimidate Jacob (he has 13 points in this category).

Return with tankard to Andrew. You will be given a lead on the poacher Black Lukesh.

Orders of the Black Lukesh

Black Lukesh has a hut north of the castle in Talmberg. Again, you must gain his trust. You will receive two orders from him. The first concerns the acquisition of the Antlers. You can:

1. Set off on hunting and after killing the deer get his antlers. This is only possible if you have unlocked the Antlers perk.
2. Visit the apothecary in Rattay and find the antlers in his offer (image above). It should cost about 20 groschen.

The second order from Lukesh is to steal a hunting horn owned by the hunting master Nicholas Angel. If you're also doing the quest Hare Hunt, you can talk to Nicholas and ask him for borrowing the horn for a short time. You will receive tips on how to get it.

Go into the hut (or sneak into it at night). Key to Nicholas' trunk is hidden in a vase in the kitchen (left from the hearth). The chest itself is on the first floor as shown in the screenshot. Take Nicholas' hunting horn and bring it to Lukesh.

A meeting with Hanekin Hare

After delivering both objects Lukesh, you will receive a lead to poacher camp in the forest south of Talmberg. You can go straight away to the poacher camp or as part of quest Hare Hunt meet with the commanding officer Robard in Talmberg and reveal the location of the camp.

When the poachers arrive at the camp, a cutscene will be shown. Then, you can:

1. Take the side of Hanekin Hare - this is only possible if you have not yet betrayed the trust of poachers. You must kill all the guards who appeared in the forest and save Hanekin Hare from death. After the victorious battle, set out after Hanekin Hare to the mine. Next side quest will activate - Cherchez la Femme. Its description is on the page with side quests from Talmberg (completion of this quest is required to unlock Master Huntsman trophy).
2. Take the side of Talmberg's guards - Hanekin Hare will throw himself into an escape. Immediately locate him and start chasing him. If you catch him, you can attack him and kill him. After he dies, search his corpses and take Hare's Ring. Give a report to Nicholas Angel and you will pass the side quest Hare Hunt.

Masquerade

How to unlock: Talk with Matthew or Fritz near the Inn in the Glade.

This quest is yet another adventure with Fritz and Matthew, i. e. Henry's former acquaintances from Skalitz. You will unlock it only after you have completed a side quest in Ledetchko ...Is a Friend Indeed and wait a few days. Fritz and Matthew will be expelled from Ledetchko and after that they decide to stay at Inn in the Glade.

Talk to any of the companions. You will receive 175 groschen without a question. Then talk about the new job. Ask Fritz about his relationship with the Innkeeper Andrew. Henry's task is to get along with Andrew. During a meeting with him, immediately agree to a more private and secluded place. Finish the conversation and follow Andrew to the cellar of the inn. You have to convince Andrew that you are fit for this task - it is best to use intimidation (he's got only 1 point in this category) or give him a bribe (100 groschen or less if you bargain). Discuss with Andrew the plan about getting the Cumans' costumes.

Obtaining three sets of Cuman clothes and helmets

This is a difficult goal of the mission, as it implicitly forces an attack on one of the Cuman camps marked on the world map. For example, you can choose a camp located in the forest within a short distance north-west of Inn in the Glade. On your way to this camp, you will probably fall into two Cumans from a smaller camp site (check the screenshot). Another pack of four opponents should be in the main camp. If you don't want to fight with all four - show yourself and start to run away. After leaving the camp, attack only those Kumans who continue their pursuit of Henry. In the case of a large camping site, also watch out for the archers.

Note - If you prefer to hide your actions and play the game in stealth mode, wait for the night to come and sneak into the Cuman camps to quietly kill all the Cumans (with the help of Stealth Kill perk). Watch out for individual enemies who may be on guard.

After you have defeated any Cuman soldier, search his inventory and collect the following items:

1. Cuman Shishak - An example of helm you need - check the image above
2. Cuman Hauberk - An example of clothes you need - check the image above

There is also an alternative way to get into possession of the Cuman clothes. If you have already completed the main quest Baptism of Fire, you can return to Pribyslawitz where a big battle had taken place in the past. Follow the abandoned Cuman camp. There are chests with different elements of the armor. Open them and look for the items you need. Unfortunately, not every helmet and not every outfit will be considered as suitable by the game. However, this way you can acquire at least some of the items you require.

Once you have collected all of the three sets (you can check the progress in your log) return to Andrew and hand them over to him. Watch a cutscene and after that you will be promoted to the next part of the quest.

Preparation of improved Cuman outfit

From Andrew, Fritz and Matthew you will learn that the current costume is not scary enough. You will need to learn how to improve it. Meet Milomir first and give him 5 groschen. Now you must reach the following people:

1. Bran the charcoal-burner
2. Olena in Talmberg
3. Vashek the stablehand in Uzhitz

Each of these characters will tell you about a different method of "improving" the Cuman's armor.

Important NOTE - There is a very serious game bug related with Olena. If you started this quest a bit too late, Olena might have died (not through your fault) and in such a situation it will not be possible to complete the quest. You can wait for further game updates to correct this bug, or start this quest (and the previous ones with Fritz and Matthew) earlier in the plot, preferably before entering Fort Vranik for the first time.

Bran will recommend Henry to obtain Raven Feathers. Visit any herbalist in the game world, e. g. a herbalist living in the forest north of Ledechtko. Herbalists have (screenshot) feathers in their offer and they are very cheap.

Olena will instruct Henry to get Wolf Fangs. Fortunately, you don't have to set off for any hunting. Visit Hunter Nicholas in Talmberg and browse his offer. He sells canines at about 20 groschen per piece (check screenshot above).

Vashek will recommend Henry to obtain a Dog Skin. According to the given hint, it is best to set off at night. You can go to any farm with dogs - for example, a farm next to the Miller Peshek' house in Rattay or the residence of Executioner Hermann. Make sure there is no one in the area and quickly kill a dog with any kind of melee or projectile weapon. Search the murdered dog for its skin.

Return with all ingredients to Andrew. Giving him all the items will start a cutscene with modified Cuman's outfit "presentation" and finish the quest. You will get a Cuman Disguise and a Cuman Mask.

Note - This is not the end of quests with Andrew, Fritz and Matthew. Talk to Andrew to start a new side quest called Besmirched.

Besmirched

How to unlock: Talk with the innkeeper Andrew after completing the side quest Masquerade.

After completing the quest Masquerade described above, chat with Andrew and ask him for new interesting events. This quest concerns tracing a thief who has stolen valuable items from Skalitz.

Henry's first task is to locate the abused Adam's refugee. Go to Rattay. You can ask for Adam from any of the beggars/refugees or you can immediately reach the inn from the eastern part of the city (screenshot). Talk to Adam and make a promise to regain his valuables.

One of the new optional objectives of this mission is to speak again with Andrew. You can give him your first report. There is also an opportunity to use a special dialogue option. An attempt of persuasion will be successful if you have a minimum of 13 points  you will learn about charcoal-burner Tonchek.

Reach to the coal miners camp near the village of Rovna. Once you have arrived at the site, you can start asking questions to more coal miners. There is an opportunity to intimidate them (you must have a minimum of 8 points in this category). You can also attack them, but you won't get anything valuable in this way. Tonchek has a shelter in the western part of the camp. This location is shown in the attached screenshots.

At first, look around the area. Next to the hut you will find the things stolen most probably from Skalitz. After the conversation with Tonchek has been initiated, you can ask for the Adam's cross and you will learn that it is in Andrew's possession. You can also get a bag with Adam's gold (Bulging purse). To do this, you have to decide whether you stu nor kill Tonchek.

You can finish this quest in several ways:

1. Return with gold to Adam and then to Andrew. You can transfer some or all of his (Adam's) gold. Andrew will be uncomfortable if he doesn't receive it.
2. Return with gold only to Andrew. The mission's goal of returning gold to Adam will be cancelled.
3. Recover Adam's cross from Andrew. This variant is possible if you have learned from Tonchek that Andrew is in possession of Adam's cross. You can express your desire to buy a cross or steal it during your conversation with Andrew. The cross (Adam's family cross) is stored in the chest in the cellar of the inn (as shown in the screenshot). The chest is a very difficult lock, but you can steal the key from Andrew.

Regardless of the selected end - after completing this quest, talk again to Fritz or Matthew. This will unlock a new side quest called A Rock and a Hard Place.

A Rock and a Hard Place

How to unlock: Talk with Matthew and Fritz after finishing side quest Besmirched.

You can unlock this quest only after you have passed the side quest Besmirched, which was commissioned by Andrew. Meet Matthew or Fritz again in Inn in the Glade. You will learn that their new plan is to carry out an attack on the Talmberg quarry and steal gold for miners. It is worth asking additional questions about the details and planned course of the attack right away. You can use persuasion and intimidation during your conversation with Matthew, but this will not affect the course of the main part of the quest. Alternatively, you can optionally talk to Fritz about his ideas for better preparation for the attack.

Note - You may encounter serious bugs that make it impossible to complete this quest if you have not updated the game to version 1.3. The most serious bug is that Matthew and Fritz may not travel to the quarry as planned and unfortunately you cannot force them to do so in any way.

Important Note - Matthew and Fritz do not want to include Andrew in their plan. You can still talk with the innkeeper Andrew anyway. He wants to betray Matthew and Fritz and contribute to their capture. It is a part of the new side quest of the Gallows Brothers and its description is available further in this chapter. This quest is mutually exclusive with the one described. You have to decide whether you want to help your colleagues to carry out the assault (continue reading this quest) or whether you want to betray them (go to the description of the quest Gallows Brothers).

Preparations for the robbery

Preparations for the robbery are optional. The only mandatory step is to determine when the gold will be delivered to the quarry. The first person you can meet is Sir Robard (find him inside the castle or near the fighting arena). You can ask him about the number of guards escorting gold, but you will only get the answer if you make an attempt to impress him (you need at least 14 points!).

The poorest idea to decrease the number of convoy' guards is to cause problems in Talmberg e. g. by attacking a villager. You can get into a lot of trouble yourself.

The best person to meet is Stablemaster from the Talmberg castle (usually revolves around the courtyard). You can find out about horse problems and offer help in healing them (in fact you want to poison them). Additionally, you will learn from Stablemaster about the planned day of gold delivery.

In case of sick horses go to the herbalist living north of Talmberg. Don't choose the dialogue options for obtaining medication, because due to the assault you want to weaken the escort. Speak about the poison. You can buy Poison by yourself at a low price from the herbalist. Return to the Stablemaster and give him the poison (pretending that it is a medicine). You will receive 275 groschen.

Execution of the robbery

In preparation for the attack, Fritz and Matthew will set off from the inn to the quarry. You will find them on a nearby hill. You can meet them immediately after you have set the date of arrival of the gold transport, or after you have done optional actions that will weaken the convoy.

You have to wait a few days - the logbook will inform you of the exact date. Use a mattress or use the option of accelerating the passage of time. Convoy will reach the quarry at 12:00 pm, but it's worth to be ready a few hours earlier. Talk to Matthew to establish an action plan. You can:

1. Attack the camp - The level of combat difficulty will depend on how many guards haven't arrived in the quarry due to previous sabotages. Choosing this option means killing at least a few guards and worsening your reputation in Talmberg.
2. Sneak to the camp - it is a better solution, but it will be much more difficult for you to steal the gold in the daylight. This option is only available if you have developed sneaking ability.

Regardless of the selected variant, take an interest in the hut from the screenshot above. There is a chest with an easy lock which contains gold for miners (Money for miners).

Alternative method of acquiring gold

There is also an alternative method of obtaining gold for miners. It will allow you to completely avoid participating in a risky attack, but it is only possible if you have a well-developed lockpicking ability.

Upon arrival in Talmberg, ignore the activities involved in planning the assault. Reach the castle courtyard, get upstairs and start heading towards the guard watchtower marked in the screenshot above.

After entering the watchtower, make sure that there are no guards in the area (they patrol the surrounding balconies). Hack into the chest next to the ladder marked in the above images. It has a difficult lock, but if you manage to unlock it you will immediately find thegold for miners (Money for miners).

Completing the quest

Quest can be finished after you have stolen gold from a chest in the Talmberg castle or from a camp in a quarry (only after the chest has been delivered there). Talk with Fritzk and Matthew. You can either hand over a portion of the gold to your friends or keep it all for yourself (expect an aggressive reaction from their side).

1. If you have decided to share with your friends, Henry would have 1000 groschen (1/3 of the slate) left.
2. If you have not shared with your colleagues, Henry will be enriched by 3000 groschen.

Gallows Brothers

How to unlock: Talk with Andrew after starting the quest A Rock and a Hard Place.

This quest offers an alternative solution for the task described above A Rock and a Hard Place. After you learn from Matthew and Fritz about the planned attack on the quarry, you can meet Andrew in Inn in the Glade and tell him about everything. The innkeeper will suggest betraying your colleagues and warning Talmberg of a planned attack. Selecting this variant will prevent you from completing the quest A Rock and a Hard Place, but you can get the Judas trophy after playing it correctly.

Note - If you want to play this quest, you must unlock it before you finish the preparations for the attack and before you participate in it.

Performing the task in Andrew's way

This quest can be done in two different ways. The first variant is to reach Sir Robard, who is located in the Talmberg castle. When talking to him, warn him of a planned robbery and suggest him to obtain better people for gold protection. Wait a few days for the arrival of the convoy and let Matthew and Fritz attack the camp in the quarry, but without Henry's participation. They will be killed as a result of the attack.

After all, you can return to Andrew. You will get 525 groschen from him. Additionally, since this moment you will be able to rest for free at Inn in the Glade.

Note - While waiting for the arrival of the convoy, do not enter the camp grounds in the quarry. You can cause an alarm doing so and be attacked by guards.

How to trick Andrew

The second variant is warning Matthew of the planned betrayal. He will propose to put Andrew in trouble by stealing a bag of gold and putting him it the area of the inn. To do this, you need to obtain an Empty sack for miners before the robbery will take place. Stay in Talmberg castle. Reach to the chest shown above, which is located near the ladder, inside one of the watchtowers. You have to open it (it has a difficult lock) and take the gold from it.

With the obtained sack, set off for Inn in the Glade. Don't meet Andrew, just go to the inn's cellar. Interact with the barrels shown in the screenshot to put a bag of gold there.

You can return to Talmberg and talk to Sir Robard. Tell him about stealing the gold of the miners. You have two new options (screenshot above) to choose from:

1. Accusing Andrew of stealing the gold - only he will be arrested and hanged.
2. Accuse Andrew, Matthew and Fritz of stealing the gold - all three will be captured. This way is best for getting the Judas trophy.

Return to Inn in the Glade and find the hangers. Depending on the chosen variant, only Andrew will be hanged or execution will also be performed on Matthew and Fritz.

Important Note - Bringing Andrew to death cancels all other side quests and activities associated with him. Try to finish them earlier.
