Chrysolithus

Apparently Olivine, the kind of stone that Peridot is made from, is also called [in English, anyway] chrysolite = la: chrysolithos, from grc: χρυσόλιθος, both of which however my dictionaries gloss as "topaz". If anyone has a better word for "peridot"... I don't know if "olivinus" could stand? —Myces Tiberinus 21:36 oct 6, 2004 (UTC)
