A Kzin, an associate of Louis Wu. He has a son, Acolyte. Prior to the Ringworld expedition he had no name, but was instead known by his profession, Speaker-to-Animals (i.e. diplomat to humans). He had a heart of gold, because he promised not to eat any of his crewmates.
