The dictatorships in South America between the 60s and 80s are an often forgotten topic. Unfortunately, the Brazilian redemocratization process did not involve punishing the military for crimes committed, so we are always doomed to see dark history try to repeat itself. Funny timing to watch this. Crazy to see that he was just a dumb rich guy who wanted to impress his father and since then things have taken on unimaginable proportions. It is clear both in the film and in real footage from the time that he was an airhead who just wanted to be adored. Nowadays this has sad consequences for the whole world. What a butterfly effect!

Sebastian Stan emulates Trump's transformation from that period very well, but Jeremy Strong is the best. I would find a film about Roy Cohn's life much more interesting.

We see that under the scrutiny of strangers, with all our mistakes, failures, and mental health exposed, we can be judged as monsters. But the truth is we are only human.
