The kind of senseless, right-wing apologist film I'm ashamed to have paid money to watch. Ranveer Singh needs to do better than be a plus-one to this cringey fun-less ensemble...but what the hell else did I even expect.

The only acceptable version of this film is a fifteen minute compilation video with only Ranveer's scenes in it.

Horrendously shot and lit, with some of the worst green screen work I’ve seen. But the strength of a novel concept (borrowed from the original, of course) is given a mature, grown up comedic treatment. The acting by Akshay Kumar, Tapsee Pannu and Vaani Kapoor is terrific, the rest aren’t too bad either. I liked how the themes in the film feel very specific to India; the repurposing of the original idea doesn’t feel forced or half baked.

a rom com for grown ups after i don't know how long in hindi cinema. funny, intelligent and sensual. has some overwritten bits, especially the ending, but there's enough along the way to admire. the film refuses to judge any of the questionable choices of the protagonists, and the brilliant performances definitely help. watch it with your partner for best results!

Rarely do you come across an Indian film so daring in its scope, treatment and choices. There is a technical mastery and clarity of vision here that makes Raam Reddy one of the most exciting Indian filmmakers to me.
Do not miss. The less you know of it the better.
