plenty of flaws but some unexpected highs, great cast, it was so nice to see actual sets and makeup and effects. i had about the same experience as watching the original 30 years ago: enjoyed the creeps, laughed at the stupid jokes, would marry beetlejuice

normally i'd say one day wasn't enough to fall ride-or-die in love but these two sweet little cuties came up with the most nonsense plan i've heard in my life so obviously they were meant to be. love the shady film/music industry drama, the lighting is just gorgeous, it's hilarious and unpredictable, amazing pair (obviously) and amazing soundtrack (obviously), and then suriya's oversized shirts and jackets were the cherry on top

love the flashback fantasy way this was structured and told, reminded me a little bit of raja rani except less tragic. everyone in this movie truly cares for each other deep down, even the villain is moved to tears by the love story and it's as much about friendship as it is about romance. kajal looked beautiful and i hope her character gave her darling bf prabhas some fashion tips after they got together, a truly dire wardrobe but he still looked sweet and played the keytar!!
