Tragic and beautiful all at the same time.

May or may not have been sobbing uncontrollably as the credits were rolling (I definitely was). If you have a healthy sibling relationship and don’t cry after watching this movie, you simply have no heart.

Stellar work from all the actors involved, but Zac Efron was easily the standout performance. Before Iron Claw, I wasn’t exactly a huge Zac Efron fan, but, boy-oh-boy, am I sold now!! Can’t wait to see him in future dramatic roles.

    Timmy Tim does it again!

Timmy brings so much life to the already like-able character that is Wonka. His portrayal is nearly perfect, but part of me wishes the writing for Wonka was a tad bit more sinister.

Nonetheless, Wonka was quite the feel-good family movie!

    Chocolate never looked so savory.

just know I’d be a lot more than an aristocrat for Mrs.Scrubitt if it meant I had a lifetime supply of chocolate hovercrocs

  • Madame Web

    Madame Web

Growing up, my dad would always say the following whenever we ate unsavory food:

    “Is it good? No.”
“Will it still make a turd? Yes.”

That’s how I feel about this movie. Is it good? Absolutely not. Is it an excuse to still go to the theater? Uh yeah, assuming you’re an avid theatre-goer, who must go every week, like myself.

If you don’t care for movie elements, such as a strong script and decent character writing, then you might find enjoyment with this one. Emphasis on the might!

Such an instant horror classic in my eyes and, of course, always a good time!

As a horror buff, I can’t help but smile and relish in all the horror odes and tropes that this movie incorporates.

WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE !!!!

THIS SPECTACLE WILL BE STUDIED/PRAISED IN THE FILM COMMUNITY FOR DECADES TO COME!!

We may be witnessing the greatest scifi franchise unfold before our very eyes… and to that, Stilgar praises, “As Written.”

There were a multitude of moments throughout this masterpiece of a film that had me utterly awestruck, genuinely terrified, and sensationally aroused. I was throughly entertained every second of the 2hr 46min runtime!

Masterful and non-replicable performances all around, but OMG AUSTIN BUTLER & REBECCA FERGUSON! I expect sweeps come next Oscar season!!

All hail Muad’Dib (but pls don’t do Chani like Anakin did my Padme)

This was a surprisingly good time.

Didn’t have any expectations going into it.

It was fast-paced and held my attention from the start. I really enjoyed the chase sequences and the dynamic shots used during them. The COVID social relevancy/ commentary was pretty clever and carried out in a fashion that wasn’t overly frustrating and/or forced like I’ve seen in other shows/movies.

Can we also talk about how this horror movie actually has a smart, capable, and agile female lead??…

watching dune while on a little psychedelic yourself is an exquisite 10/10 experience.

chani at the end was giving Katniss Everdeen at the end of catching fire (tell me this was a universal thought or die)

BRO WHAT DID I JUST WATCH!

First half of the movie had me genuinely terrified of the phroggers, while the second half had me wishing someone was a phrogger in my house.

This movie truly highlights how a different perspective/POV can alter your entire perception of a given set of events.

Samuel L. Jackson has had it with these mf snakes on this mf plane

Oh wait - wrong movie. Samuel L. Jackson has had it with these mf terrorists and their mf bombs.

First half of the movie was better than the last half. Ending fell flat.

The character foil between the two, morally conflicted/ambiguous leads was enjoyable.

masterclass acting from Brie as well

the shot with Jack staring up at the clear blue sky while laying in the back of the red pickup does wonders to me
