Cult classic. We need a good Freddy comeback. Genius concept. Amazing score. Wes’ finest adventure besides the original Scream, of course.
It’s a little too camp, at times, and Nancy’s acting is rather atrocious.

Todd Philips takes notable, creative risks with this sequel, giving it space to completely differentiate from its predecessor. I found myself enjoying the musical element of the movie and how it captured the dissociation and fantasy of Arthur’s mental illness. There’s so many genres being juggled here, from crime drama to romance to musical, making the movie occasionally feel bogged down. Nonetheless, the cinematography and technical work involved in all the scenes is truly mesmerizing and…
M Night Shyamalan, despite what others may say, you are the man. Sure, you’ve put out some largely questionable projects, but when you get it right - oh boy, do you get it right!
Acting on all fronts is flawless, particularly from Toni Collete and Haley Joel Osment. Some scenes are so raw and breathtaking, truly never failing at giving me all the chills and feels. Moreover, some of the ghost scenes have been ingrained in my memory since childhood. …
It truly amazes me that Mary Elizabeth Winstead wasn’t a BIGGER star than she was during this time. At the very least, she had the quintessential final girl written all over her.
Final Destination 3 is my favorite final destination, largely due to the compelling acting by Winstead. The deaths are pretty gnarly and imaginative too.
If the final destination movies are good at anything, it’s giving us irrational fears. I’m still deathly afraid of rollercoasters solely thanks to this movie.
Who gives a fuck about movies!
Ghostface was an absolute MENACE in this installment! He gave no shits and was truly terrifying, something I’m unable to say for some of the previous Ghostfaces. The action and brutality is at an all-time high for the franchise with this sequel. As a slasher fan, I don’t think the brutality is excessive, but rather the perfect amount.
It’s a toss-up between Scream 2 & Scream 6 for my favorite sequel in the franchise, but…
Ghostface: -you forgot the first rule of surviving a 'Stab' movie, never answer the...
Sidney: I'm bored.
Sidney is so badass.
Scream has always been my comfort horror franchise, so I was beyond excited for this requel.
I remember seeing Jenna Ortega in the trailer and figured she was a goner. The decision to deviate from the predictable killing off of the opening character was a smart move, because Tara and Sam prove to be worthy successors as the leading…
The cafeteria scene always gives me second-hand embarrassment.
Besides that, I absolutely love this sequel. Another great opening scene. Some of the franchise’s best moments from Gale’s chase scene to Sidney’s and Hallie’s police car scene. It’s a shame there’s not much development in Sidney’s and Gale’s relationship, but at least they compensate for this with Dewey’s and Gale’s relationship.
Also, this wouldn’t be an adequate review if I didn’t mention how Gale’s Scream 2 look is giving certified baddie 🥵
I just wanna smoke a FAT BLUNT with adria arjona.
I found myself loving the style, look, and concept of this movie. The message and theme explored is timely and feels all too real, making the movie that much more disturbing. At times, I felt like the movie was holding back and the first act is drawn out but the movie, as a whole, serves its purpose. Naomi, Adria, and Channing were superb.
Zoe Kravitz, you are HIM. or HER.
Scream, I love you more than you’ll ever know.
you’re still just as fun the 200th time as you were the first time. you explored new frontiers and, in doing so, absolutely changed the horror game. your opening scene is arguably the most iconic of all opening scenes. you and your stellar cast captivated us in unique and various ways. you provided us with a competent and formidable final girl amidst the sea of mediocre surviving characters. the way you…
So terribly conflicted.
On the one hand, I applaud it for taking risks and diverting from the predictable slasher/victim plot. On the other hand, the risks taken are simply atrocious and this is one of the rare cases where adhering to the conventional formula would’ve probably worked better.
I can see glimpses of the intended vision shining light through narrow cracks, but ultimately not enough light is escaping to allow the vision to come to fruition. I really wanted to love it, but I didn’t. We really needed more of the Michael Myers we’ve come to love and geek over (and waaayy less of Corey Cunningham).
Overall, an intriguing watch with amazing performances. Cooper Koch particularly delivers a standout performance in nearly every scene he’s in. If any episode deserves praise, it’s the Hurt Man episode - it was so heavy, intimate and raw.
I didn’t care for all the extra entertainment fluff and theoretical plot devices throughout the series. At times, the show feels unfocused in the sense that it tries to explore multiple plot points that contradict/undermine others. I’m also aware a noticeable amount…
