Mysskin’s debut movie follows your age old love story of a educated girl falling for a gangster, however with his interesting characterizations, action choreography and narrative makes it an engaging enough watch. Naren is just the perfectly tailor made eccentric hero material for Mysskin. Though it has some inconsistent stretches, it still ends up one solid watch.
a hysterical melodrama with a beautiful touch of surrealism in the songs, definitely has the rough edges of a debut and the camerawork is mostly plain and simple compared to his other work, but it's so interesting to see that from the beginning mysskin was using frantic high emotion to explore deep, complex pain and the "no good deed goes unpunished" theme - read a quote where he said he doesn't make romantic films because there are so many emotions more important than romance, which i think is the best and worst part of this, the romance isn't developed enough because so much time is spent on the struggles surrounding it, but that also makes this more than a simple…
If we have to compare this film with "Anjathey", the last movie I named would be the best movie..
As always there a lot of twists in the movie with some cringe scenes too!
But as a debut film for a Director, this is okayish!
Already we know that I love Narain and the heroine character irritated me a lot!
I didn't felt boring the film in any part.
Give it a try!! 👍

The Beginning...
And so it was, for Mysskin in this world of cinema. His karate fight scenes, his uncanny protagonists, his theme of compassion, his love for yellow sarees. Everything begins.
While his debut is not as polished as his later movies, it doesn't need to be. What else is there to say? Mysskin, please let your films do the talking!
I came to know that this film is a great reference for a lot of film maker today for their films after witnessing this epic!
As per first 25 mins, Charu was very irritating, dad's little princess went nuts, messing with Thiru n doin shits.
Thiru(Naren) Was brilliant, he has some kinda swag. After he fell in love, he lost that swag. And that's not fully convincing
Although there are some inconsistent screenplay structure, it engages as overall film.
Adiyaal portions were interesting than love scenes.
Just watched for Mysskin. Man..... He had some kinda film language like protagonist's character design, shot composition, the way music is subtle-ly handled (just bgms, not songs) even in his first film.
I think this is the very happiest film of Mysskin's as He started exploring pain and suffering from 2nd film Anjathe
Timeback when going to school , Someone from my relative circle said this movie wont work for you so dont watch. Haven't watched this since that. Saw titbit of this and gave a try. Now regretting for missing this. ( Maturity vandruchu chithappa )
Myskkin and his choice of Casting ❤️
Climax 💔
Very late to see My master 1st film, and was royally moved after watching it ,this is such a pleasant and beautiful love story , this is not an ordinary love story the treatment which mysskin is given here is totally different approach .
Now we are saying Gargi and Jana Gana mana is giving a wider wider perspective for the audience but this film has given in 2006 only .
For some commercial aspects film has the typical mass masala incidents but the climax makes u forgets all that.
