The sequel James Cameron could never hope to make.

Nearly the antithesis of Aliens, this movie actually expands on the themes of the original while still having enough originality to retain an identity of it's own.

The beginning left a very bad taste in my mouth, though I can't exactly blame this movie for wanting to wash away the blemish on this franchise that Aliens was. Bleak, gothic, anti-corporate/anti-capitalist, feminist and absoloutely disgusting in the best possible way. As frustrating as the beginning is, how could I ever hate this movie?

Though I would've preferred less CGI, I love that they didn't keep the awful redesign of the xenomorphs from Aliens, and made something that looked much closer to the masterpiece that H.R. Giger's original design.

(Also androgynous Ripley is more favourite thing ever she's gorgeous in this movie)
