Liberty Science Center is nothing without its dedicated team members – and today, we celebrate one of our most passionate educators, Rich Cohen, as he turns 80 years old!

Rich has been with the Science Center for the last 18 years, first working as a STEM Educator, and now as a volunteer (you’ll likely find him soaring the galaxy at our Science on a Sphere interactive globe!).

For Rich, LSC is his “happy place."

“This is a wonderful, innovative place,” says Rich. “I particularly like the collegiality. I love working with people of all ages, I love teaching people of all ages. I have a really good time here.”

LSC is so meaningful to Rich that he even celebrated his 80th birthday party here at the Science Center, with friends and family in attendance!

“I love coming here. I love interacting with the guests. I love the challenge of trying to reach all sorts of people and make them excited about science.”
