Mochi (Japanese: もち Mochi) is a type of item introduced in Generation IX. They can be obtained from participating in Ogre Oustin'. They can be used to increase a Pokémon's EVs in a specific stat, and are flavored with Berries kneaded into the dough.

Pecharunt's Binding Mochi

Two unobtainable variants of mochi are mentioned in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The first, known as Kitakami Mochi (Japanese: キタカミもち Kitakami Mochi), was mentioned during the events of The Teal Mask, having been used to feed the Loyal Three in Kitakami Hall shortly after their revival. It is never shown, but is heavily implied to be made with Herba Mystica, as it caused each of the three to transform into Titanic Pokémon. The second, known as Binding Mochi (Japanese: くさりもち Chain Mochi), is naturally made by the Mythical Pokémon Pecharunt. This variety of mochi is described as toxic or poisonous, but with a sweet taste and aroma. When consumed by humans or Pokmon, the Binding Mochi draws out their desires, greed, and capabilities, chaining them to Pecharunt's will.
