Alexus (Earth-616)

Pre-Cataclysmic Age (18,500 BC)[]

During the Age of Kull, a sect of Set worshipers known as the Unliving tried to fulfill a prophecy. They sacrificed five woman, then abducted a sixth which they magically impregnated in order to spawn a son that would rise as High Priest of Set, an immensely powerful being that would rule all. As the woman gave birth to twin sister and brother, the Unliving saw blasphemy and slew the mother. Kull arrived instant later, slew the sorcerers, and had his councilor Tu drown the infants, but he entrusted them in the care of a shepherd who had lost his only son.^[2]

Hyborian Age (10,000 BC)[]

Growing through 8000 years, into the Hyborian Age of Conan, Alexus lived with his twin sister Narcia in Tarsus in the Border Kingdoms. Alexus himself also dwelt in Castle Alexus, in the hills beyond Tarsus. Though unrelated to the King's family, Narcia became known as the White Queen. Allying himself with Castrica, sorceress and princess of Tarsus, Alexus discovered that he was the prophesied High Priest of Set and came into conflict with Conan. Narcia finally slew Alexus, thus allowing him to ascend to greater power. As Alexus was growing too powerful, destroying his castle and killing Castrica, Conan was forced to kill Alexus' twin sister, allowing her to ascend as well, so that her soul could thwart Alexus' power for all eternity.^[2]

As a magical creation produced through the sorcery of Set and the Unliving, and the prophesized High Priest of Set, Alexus was endowed with great and terrible powers.^[2]
