Black Shadow (Earth-616)

This Chinese mutant suffered from multiple personality disorder, that his mutant powers manifested in the form of Black Shadow, capable of destroying everything it encountered. In opposition to the Black Shadow manifested the White Shadow, which aimed at its destruction, all while the mutant continued to reside within a mental institution.^[2]

When a friend of Wolverine was killed during a Black Shadow assault in Hong Kong, Wolverine intervened by clashing several times with it and during the final battle between Black Shadow and White Shadow in the asylum, the mutant launched himself against Wolverine's claws, ending his very existence and that of its manifestations.^[3]

He was a mutant with multiple personality disorder who could generate shadowy energy forms. These energy beings were superhumanly strong and durable, could fire energy blast to kill opponents, and turn intangible or solid at will. Each energy form represented one of his personalities. When two shadows fought each other, it could discharge enough energy to destroy a city block.^{[4] [2]}
