History
Origin and Morlocks[]
The creature only known as Litterbug came from a military family, his father and his grandfather had served in the armed forces. He was raised as a country boy, becoming extremely nationalistic. He followed his legacy by joining the army and operated as a mechanic. He assisted in constructing mutant-hunting Sentinels in the city of Chicago. Ironically, he was a mutant himself and, as his abilities manifested, he became a monstrous being, forcing to go absent.[1] He found his way as Litterbug into a small group of sewer-dwelling Morlocks living under the streets of Chicago. His mutant abilities gave ways for the Morlocks to restructure the tunnels as new burrows were excavated for hiding. Due to his past as an active mutant hunter, Litterbug chose to refrain from ever speaking. His constant silence led his colleagues to believe him unable to verbally communicate.[2]
As the government targeted the Morlocks using Sentinels, their safety was constantly under threat. Litterbug asked Postman to burn the tattoo he had on his right arm that venerated the United States flag. Using his advanced knowledge of Sentinels construction, Litterbug helped the Morlocks with information, raising suspicions.[3] As their war escalated, he revealed his true origins, as well as his capacity for speech in order to motivate them into destroying the Sentinel Command Center.[4] At first, Litterbug was met with backlash by his colleagues, but he was supported by Shatter, who spoke on the importance of offering help to all mutants. Litterbug's plan involved infiltrating a Sentinel unit to reach the local base. The plan was a success, and, subsequently, the group of Morlocks fled Chicago for parts unknown.[1]
Post M-Day: Radicalized[]
He later joined another group of Morlocks under the leadership of Masque.[5][6]
Utopia: Troublemaker[]
Lead by Toad, Litterbug, Dragoness, and Bliss tried to seize some of the Utopian water supply under the mistaken assumption that they were hoarding due to a shortage. They were all stopped by Iceman.[7]
He was later seen on Utopia during the Second Coming, alongside Greycrow, Random, Toad, and Sack just as a Nimrod landed, ready to exterminate them.[8] He survived and was an onlooker during the Evolutionaries' return.[9]
A few months later he clashed with the members of Generation Hope after a major sentinel attack. He and others had been stirred up by Zero.[10]Attributes
