Peter (Nereel) (Earth-41001)

Peter is the son of Colossus and Nereel. After he grew up, Peter developed the same powers as his father. He joined the X-Men as Kid Colossus and started dating Lorna Dane.^[1]

When the X-Men were attacked by Stryfe and Genesis, Peter and Lorna used the "magnetic Fastball Special" to stop them, only to discover what they were actually Warskrulls. While the team defeated some Warskrulls, others still managed to destroy the Xavier Institute.^[1]

The next day Warskrulls attacked again, and Peter was critically injured by one of them. Dr. Cecilia Reyes with the help of Lorna's powers performed a surgical operation^[2] and managed to save his life.^[4]

Organic Steel Transformation: Kid Colossus is a mutant with power to transform his body tissues into organic steel-like substance.^[1] Like his father Colossus, he can freely transform back and forth.^[4]

• In X-Men: The End #6 it is mentioned what Peter is the son of the original Colossus, but nothing is mentioned about his mother in any of his appearances. In GeNext #1 a grandson of the original Colossus, Pavel Rasputin, was introduced and in GeNext #2 it was revealed what his grandmother was Nereel. In GeNext #3 Pavel mentioned what both his grandfather and father were members of the X-Men. From all of this it can be concluded what Kid Colossus is the alternate variant of Peter, a son of Colossus and Nereel and father of Pavel Rasputin.
• He was only ever referred as "Peter".^[1][2][3] It is unknown if Peter ever adopted "Rasputin" surname or not, but his son had explicitly used "Rasputin" surname.GeNext #1
• It is unknown if Peter and Lorna Dane were only dating, or married. She called him "sweetie"^[1] and talked about him in her last moments.^[3]
• Pavel Rasputin was already a teenager ten years after the destruction of the Xavier Institute,^[5] meaning that he was born few years prior to it. It is possible that his mother was Lorna Dane, but as it is unknown when exactly Peter came from the Savage Land, it is possible what Pavel was born there from someone unknown. In GeNext #1 Pavel had mentioned what Becka Munroe would not return to the Savage Land (where she was born), because there are too many memories. This could indicate what Becka and Pavel knew each other prior to joining the Xavier Institute and what Pavel also lived in the Savage Land previously. However, it could also be what Pavel visited his grandmother Nereel in the Savage Land and met Becka during these visits.
