History
Origin[]
This stick was once owned by an old man until it was struck by lightning five times. The man had died, but the stick remained intact. It was obtained by Eddie Gunnam who quickly realized what the stick grants him powers. He became The Swell and began using its powers to improve his life.[1]
Destruction[]
The stick was destroyed by a gunshot from Kid Twist during the battle between the Sinners, the Upward Path, and the Street Arabs.[2]Properties
- Trust Inducement: While holding the stick, Gunnam was trusted by others. Even if they realized what they are influenced, they were unable to prevent the effect and trusted him anyway.[1]
- Probability Manipulation: The stick granted good luck to Gunnam, it made him subconsciously move and act in the way what protected him from misfortune and danger.[3] The stick itself, however, wasn't protected by luck. In the last moment of its existence, the stick made Gunnam subconsciously move it to intercept the bullet; saving Gunnam's life, but the stick itself was destroyed in result.[4]
