History
Webware was a wrist device invented by Parker Industries, which allowed individuals who own it to have affordable internet access with clear reception and unlimited data anywhere on Earth.[1] The device was virtually waterproof and is outfitted with a GPS similar to what Spider-Man uses on his Spider-Tracers. Peter's Webware was equipped with a special type of encryption that physically reconfigured its internal mechanisms through a nanotechnological computer that was very difficult to crack. An attempt by the Zodiac to do so ended up providing S.H.I.E.L.D. with the locations of all of their bases worldwide.[2] Unfortunately, the system was eventually cracked by the organization.[3]
The Webware system was ultimately shut down when Peter demanded that the Parker Industries, Shanghai Branch destroy everything to keep the Superior Octopus and Hydra from taking control of the company.[4]See Also
