Jeff Mariotte (born 7 September 1955; age 69) is a Star Trek author and editor.

Born in Park Forest, Illinois, Mariotte moved frequently since his father worked for the United States Defense Department. He studied at San Jose State University where he received a degree in radio/TV/film.

Mariotte owned the Mysterious Galaxy bookstore in San Diego, getting to know a number of influential science fiction authors. Having joined WildStorm Comics soon after its creation in the early 1990s, Mariotte became editor of the company's Star Trek line when it took over the license in 1999, in part due to his connections with Trek and science fiction authors. As a result of his work, he made friends with the editorial team at Pocket Books. This led to Mariotte being approached to write novels for Pocket's own Star Trek line.

Leaving WildStorm in 2002, Mariotte became editor-in-chief at IDW Publishing.

He currently lives in Arizona.
