A world whose predominant species is amphibian was more likely to also have developed varieties of mollusks, insects, and fish. Seven percent of all amphibian species could be sapient. (FASA RPG module: Game Operations Manual)

Species such as the Bzzit Khaht and Sarsith were originally aquatic species who evolved to to become walking amphibians. [1] [2] Many species such as the Hranrarii are sensitive to changing atmospheric conditions and temperatures. [3] Many amphibians could regrow lost limbs. [4] Species like the Kemorans could submerge for lengthy periods of time. [5]

Young Selkie were amphibians, but when they matured they became fully aquatic. (TTN novel: Over a Torrent Sea)

The ancestors of Chelons were an amphibian species. (VAN novel: Storming Heaven)

A large number of uncatalogued amphibian species lived on Klairos, one of which looked like a mythological dragon to Jean Czerny in the 2270s. (TOS novel: Pawns and Symbols)

In 2370, a virus mutated Deanna Troi into an ancient Betazoid amphibian. She described the incident twelve years later to Christine Vale. (TNG episode: "Genesis", ST - Typhon Pact novel: Seize the Fire)

A sapient amphibian species was from Carreon. In 2382, Dina Elfiki was solving a crossword puzzle and trying to recall the pronunciation difference between that species and the humanoid Carreon from Carrea. (DTI novel: Watching the Clock)
