The Bortasqu' class is an advanced variant of the Bortas-class heavy battle cruiser launched in 2409. Translated from the Klingon language, the name means "duty of revenge."

History[]

After the successful testing of the prototype, the IKS Bortas, the advanced Bortasqu' design entered production. There are three variants - a tactical variant with increased capacity for weapons enhancements, a war variant with increased capacity for engine and power system enhancements, and an operations variant with slightly expanded scientific facilities. The Bortasqu' is equipped with a cloaking device, but due to the ship's size and power requirements, there is an increased risk of detection. The design also comes with the highly advanced quantum slipstream drive featured on the Bortas-class.

The Bortasqu' also carries a HoH'SuS-class Bird of Prey, docked between the main impulse engines. Its offensive capabilities include a subspace snare that could grab hold of vessels and force them to the front of the ship, and a series of six disruptor autocannons located on the hammer-shaped section of the forward hull.
