Ch'Targh was a Klingon male and a member of the Empire's Defense Forces in the 2370s. He was not a father and disliked young people.

In 2374, he was serving on the IKS Rotarran as its helmsman. During the ship's voyage to Donatu V with a convoy, Ch'Targh taunted Alexander Rozhenko over his part-Human heritage and that he was Worf's son. Ch'Targh later came to respect Alexander after the pair stopped a plasma leak that threatened to cause an explosion. (DS9 episode: "Sons and Daughters", DS9 novelizations: Call to Arms..., ...Sacrifice of Angels)

Ch'Targh was later given a promotion in rank to command a Klingon starship in the Dominion War. (DS9 video game: Dominion Wars)

In 2376, Captain Ch'Targh was stationed on HuDyuQ. (TNG novel: Diplomatic Implausibility)
