Darwyn Friel was, according to Sarina Douglas, the name of an officer who recruited her into Starfleet Intelligence in 2378. Dr. Julian Bashir asked for his name due to concerns that Sarina was approached by Section 31 agent Cole. However, Douglas was actually secretly working for Section 31 when she told him this so it is unknown how accurate her statement was. (ST - Typhon Pact novel: Zero Sum Game)
