An F-class (or F-type) star is white and is made up of hydrogen and ionized metals. Also in the star there is calcium and iron. The temperature in this type of star is between 6,000 and 7,500 K. (ST reference: Star Charts)
Type F0 V stars are 7 times brighter than Sol and have 1.6 times more mass. Their habitable zone ranges from 2.1-3.5 AU and are 1-6 billion years old. Type F5 V stars are 2.5 times brighter than Sol and have 1.3 times more mass. Their habitable zone ranges from 1.2-2.1 AU and are 1-6 billion years old. (Decipher RPG module: Worlds)
