The Hoffman system's orbit was the location of a number of planets, including third planet York III.

In the 2260s, a passenger transport and cargo service in the Hoffman system was founded by Bischoff and expanded operations to reach most of the sector. (TOS novel: Mudd in Your Eye)

The Hoffman colonies might be located in this system.
