The IKS Rakor was a K't'inga-class Klingon battle cruiser in service to the Imperial Klingon Defense Force in the 23rd century. In the early 2270s, the starship was commanded by Captain Tunzos.

Service history[]

In 2273, Rakor was assigned to capture or kill political criminals Morg and Chetar, who had spoken out against the Klingon High Council and consequently been sentenced to death. Tunzos located their Vegan Tripper-class commercial flyer in orbit of Telos, defended by Captain James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise. An officer reported that they did not know the strengths of the newly refit vessel.

To intimidate Kirk, Rakor fired a torpedo at the Enterprise, which impacted the ship's forward shields. Tunzos then brought Rakor to within 50 meters of the Enterprise to stare down Kirk, giving him an hour to surrender the fugitives. When Kirk launched a pair of travel pods, Tunzos destroyed both pods with torpedoes from Rakor, satisfied that he'd eliminated the criminals. (TOS comic: "Double Bluff")
