The Ikasun system was a star with an associated star system. It contained at least two planets, of which the second planet, Ikasu, was inhabited. Ikasun was located in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrant. While the Ikasun had been Federation members in the past, they were independent and isolationist in the 32nd century. In the 32nd century, the inhabitants controlled their system and remained unaffiliated. (DSC novel: Wonderlands)

Following their departure from the United Federation of Planets, the Ikasun became isolationist, going so far as to frown upon any interest displayed on the nature aboveground, or relating to the sky.

Due to their orbits, the second moon of the planet Alla was not always visible from Ikasu. (DSC novel: Wonderlands)
