This character is a member of the La Forge family.

Sidney La Forge was a 24th century Human, a Federation citizen. Sidney was the sibling of Alandra and Bret La Forge. (STO novel: The Needs of the Many)

Biography[]

Sidney was born to the engineers Doctor Leah Brahms and Geordi La Forge.

During the time before the Undine War, around the 2390s decade, Captain Geordi La Forge of the USS Challenger kept photos of his family, including Sidney, at his workplace at the Cochrane Institute in New Samarkand on Alpha Centauri III. During an interview with journalist Jake Sisko, Captain La Forge discussed his first wife, Leah, and their children, with the other man. At the time, the captain was close to marrying his chief engineer, Mikaela Leishman. (STO novel: The Needs of the Many)

Cadet La Forge earned the nickname "Crash La Forge" as a result of two shuttlecraft incidents caused by her piloting at Starfleet Academy.

Following graduation, Ensign La Forge served as helm officer aboard the Constitution III-class starship USS Titan-A under Captain Liam Shaw. In the 25th century, La Forge could not contain her excitement when Admiral Jean-Luc Picard and Captain William T. Riker came aboard the Titan-A for a supposed inspection. Riker recalled La Forge's notoriety at the Academy on the bridge, embarrassing the young woman.

Later, La Forge served on the helm when first officer Commander "Annika Hansen" ordered the ship to the Ryton star system. (PIC episode: "The Next Generation")

In 2423, the interview was published as part of Sisko's work on the Undine War. The interview, including the talk about Sidney and the family, were included in "Jake Sisko, Data Rod #L-52". (STO novel: The Needs of the Many)

Alternate timeline[]

In an alternate timeline created by anti-time, Jean-Luc Picard inquired about Sidney, Alandra and Bret when Geordi La Forge visited the older man at his vineyard in La Barre, France on Earth around the year 2395. (TNG episode & novelization: All Good Things...)
