In 2154, Humans, Vulcans, Andorians and Tellarites formed a detection grid to uncover Romulan attacks on various polities. This was part of Captain Jonathan Archer's ad-hoc Alliance. (ENT episode: "United")

In 2368, Captain Jean-Luc Picard led a 23-ship strong Federation fleet that deployed a tachyon detection grid on the Klingon-Romulan border in 2368. (TNG episode: "Redemption")

In 2409, a tachyon detection grid was a standard feature on tier 3-rated Nebula-class advanced research vessels. (STO - Call to Arms mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

In 2410, the tier-6 rated Sutherland-class used the more adavned tachyon detection grid console. It became a standard feature on the Nebula class and its variants. (STO - Agents of Yesterday mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")
