Appendices[]
Background[]
- The cover image was recreated by Mike Collins based on the Enterprise as it appeared on the cover of "Evolutions" by Bob Wiacek. (The Complete Comic Book Collection article at TrekMovie.)
- The official TOS and TNG movie adaptations were also presented in a follow-up omnibus, the Movie Comic Book Collection.
- Although they were cited in solicitations, GIT Media did not include the 86 TOS comic strip stories released from 1969 - 1983. It omitted 48 UK comic strips, 20 US Comic Strips, five Star Trek Video Communicator strips, five Happy Meal strips, four Kenner Comic Strips, and four Larami Comic Strips. These stories would remain uncollected for another decade.
- Perhaps unintentionally, the DVD-ROM omitted WildStorm's VOY omnibus Encounters with the Unknown, though it did include that collection's individual stories.
- Licensing restrictions prevented GIT Media from incorporating brand-new releases from TokyoPop and IDW Publishing. By the time of the DVD-ROM release, TokyoPop had released 14 manga stories and IDW had released 10 miniseries.
