The one I received is soft cover, so I just assumed that is the only version they are producing right now. I could be wrong though!
Also of note, is that it is slightly larger than the "standard" manga book size. It is wider and taller by about a centimeter each way. I could easily see that driving a person crazy by not sitting flush with other manga, but I am managing to cope so far xD |

I'm not sure if you like to collect physical manga books, but Denpa Publishing has just started to release English editions of Char's Counterattack: Beltorchika's Children! I just got the first volume in the mail and it is a really nice book with some color pages! Thought you might like to know about it : )

Well the new Zelda has just come out so I'm looking forward to playing that once i get done with breath of the wild. New Final Fantasy game is out next month can't wait to play that. Alan Wake 2 comes out in october and I'm excited to play that. New Spiderman game is supposed to be out this year along with the remake of silent hill 2. There's a couple more things but I think the list is already a bit long 🤣🤣🤣 What about you? Looking forward to anything? Well if you end it watching it you'll have to tell me if you like it 😝 Yeah I'll end up watching the old one....eventually 🤣🤣 |

Honestly I feel you, it's pretty much been the same for me lately. Not too much going on besides working and sleeping lol it's gotten hotter here lately tho which I kinda don't like; i'm more of a sweater weather kinda guy :') Chainsaw Man is great, I binge read all of part 1 back around the time that ended then I've been keeping up weekly since it's been back. It's so much fun, but the chapters go by so fast ugh, also I really loved the anime! It was tied with Bleach for my anime of the year last year I'm reading Demon Slayer weekly along with the current season right now, and I'll binge read the rest of it once this season ends. I'm really looking forward to those last arcs and seeing what all the hype is about! Thank you for checking out the favs blogs haha Mirio is great!! :D |

It's been such a long time wow how've you been?? According to our chat log we haven't really spoken much since 2020 which is insane lol I hope life has been going well for you since then!! I've been doing alright for the most part! As far as new anime I've been loving, some that come to mind are Ranking of Kings, Ya Boy Kongming, Spy x Family & Chainsaw Man. I've also read the manga for those last 2 and they've become some of my favorites! With manga I've recently caught up on One Punch Man and have also been reading Junji Ito's works. It's all been really fun haha |

I've been doing well I haven't faceplanted either FOR NOW but only time will tell for the both of us 🤣🤣🤣 Oh my god I absolutely loved the new series from start to finish but I haven't seen the orginal series so I can't compare them. Vash is one big dork and I love him 🤣🤣 Can't wait to watch the second season whenever that comes out |

I make a number of posts including manga and LNs; there are many more things that I want to share, either as a story or post 🤔 I had quite a game-centric year, due to a lot of game releases + being too tired to read new things, BUT I am returning to normal! And honestly, if I have Baka Cana-san on Instagram, it would motivate me to make more reading related posts/stories! 🤗 After all, I even completed a a recent VN, and it was something I made stories about and such during the announcement and release phase, but because of my tiredness and all that, I didn’t complete it until a few months later, and I didn’t make a post 😭 However, even in cases where I don’t make a story or post, I can always send you pics of new manga, light novels etc. that I got, like how I sent you the pic of the Planetes manga that time here on MAL 🥰 Although, the effort to add a screenshot to a MAL comment is not convenient enough for me to want to do it 😅 Therefore, Instagram sounds like best choice~! When you PM me about your number, I will drop you my Instagram name too! 💖 Oooh, Samsung’s S line of phones are the flagship line! I know that stuff like the A line are budget models and stuff. And on the topic of when I spoke about hand-me-down phones; I was handed a Samsung Galaxy S2 that my dad previously used… and it was rough 🤧 Even then, as recent as like 10 years ago, if a phone wasn’t the most up-to-date thing, it would run terribly 😷 In some cases, even being brand new didn’t spare people trouble. So, being behind however many models was really bad earlier in the smartphone scene, but thankfully it is not a concern now 👏 Part of that is because the innovation of an OS is moving at a slower pace than before, which doesn’t create massive gaps between who can access vital features and who can’t 👀 There are still ofc gaps, but not nearly to that extent! Anyways, that was a ramble! Feel free to ignore all this and just send a PM with your number (also known as ‘WhatsApp stuff’) and me with Instagram stuffs aha, and then we can vibe about le manga and le light novels 🫡 |

What phone is it, love? 👀💞 And yuss, I do have WhatsApp; I don’t use it too much but I may use it more if it means talking to you more 💖 You can message me your WhatsApp stuff through MAL PM if you want to keep it from prying eyes! 😌 Also, if you having a new phone means you are going to be more active on social media, then would you get Instagram? I post about things I play, watch, read and all that 🥳 It’s very chill and I like making casual posts of the things I enjoy 🥰 I was also in a similar position as you with the experience of new technolog, but specifically with phones for me. I typically got hand-me-down phones that were kinda dying already 😭 So, it was quite hard to devote myself to social media, but that changed in recent time 🤗 So, I am hoping you get a great social media experience as well; Instagram is kinda my go-to, I use Facebook but only the Messenger part lol, I use Discord as well 🤔 But yes, I am here for Baka Cana-san support! Going to do a full reply soon but have to mention this:
The ending to Victory was bad. Like reallyyy bad; that is some of the worst payoff I have seen, and somehow the bad characters got worse, with even the okay characters being cringey by the end of it. It really tried too hard to do the war tragedy approach that it forgot to make the narrative compelling 😅 It’s a shame that there were some strong points dotted throughout, because I would love to absolutely roast Victory without reservation 😤 I gotta say that the more consistent quality with ZZ worked out better than Victory’s spontaneous approach. ZZ had good late content; something I cannot remotely say for Victory, minus an episode or two that did something really cool. So, I would suggest to skip it, unless you’re a masochist, hun 😅 I feel like even if Fighter G Gundam is mid, I will be blessed 🤣 When watching Victory, I really did miss the simpler times of me watching 08th MS Team and 0083 Stardust Memory beforehand, but they were ofc much smaller Gundam entries! Idk if I need a break or not lol. Knowing that I can watch Fighter G on any platform I choose definitely motivates me a lot 👏✨ |

Seeing the nicely-presented gifs of anime's BEST ACTION SCENE in your comment has Brightened my day. Hopefully not too literally, as it seems fists flying is a part of being Bright. When a kid is declared 'Bright' at school, it evokes terror within their cohorts!
And yes, for reals, Uso legit got nerfed! They wanted to make a certain couple of characters not die like immediately lol, because Uso did get that good. Newtype and survival/resistance training from a crazy young age; even showed a compilation of him being trained in harsh environments by his parents aha! Not surprising that he would be cracked in combat! But yeah, somehow some random that was not special of a pilot at all got through multiple battles against Uso when they 100% would have died :/ But good question, Baka Cana-san dear <3 Honestly, it is one of those entries where they purposely put it REALLY far past the core UC events (like with where Unicorn and Hathaway are). See, you have Gundam F91 that is about Crossbone and is like 'they be the new Zeon' type of thing, and they make some references of sorts. I think in Victory, I have seen 1 direct reference to Zeon/Zabi stuff. Ofc a few references to 'the Gundams of old', which is their way of saying RX-78-2 and the like! But yeah, they referenced Crossbone a short number of times between the start and middle of the series and not seen it since. So, my answer: it exists within the UC timeline but it feels like a disconnected piece of it. It was like them doing new timelines before ACTUALLY going to do a new timeline! Which might explain why they powered through and did Fighter G, Gundam Wing etc. which are a bunch of new timelines. As for how I would rank Victory: I will rank more within UC, as I want a bigger network of which Gundam entries I have seen before I make an ultimate ranking ahaha! But within UC, Victory would be above 0083, F91 (by a mile) and probably between ZZ and CCA (CCA being higher and ZZ being slightly lower). I do think that ZZ was more consistent but Victory's highs are pretty high, even tho there are some low points in the series :O As you may know, 0080 War in the Pocket is my favourite UC entry and current overall fave for Gundam! <3 I see you did start After War... after all; AFTER starting such a thing, how would you describe it? I have quite a lot of interest in After War as well. IF YOU START BUILD FIGHTERS, LET ME KNOW! IT IS SO FUN, DRAMATIC AND WHOLESOME ALL AT ONCE! :O <3 Build Fighters is in my top 5 Gundam entries of all time and I am PROUD of it, Baka Cana-san! |
