I wasn't really being 100% serious when I said that, the very nature of that forum game is to be overdramatic & critical. If you happen to enjoy Evangelion then totally fine, tastes & perferences are obviously supposed to vary from person to person. Tastes are different & that's basically the entire point of those anime based forum games, I mean if everyone had the same kind of preferences then there wouldn't be any fun or intrigue in playing those games.
Though I'd be a little surprised if you end up liking Evangelion, since I remember you telling me that you don't like pretentious or convoluted philosophy based shows. I mean, you didn't like Serial Experiments Lain, a show that does several things similar to Evangelion when it comes to vague & 2deep4u philosophy.
Huh, well, these are exaggerations, but yeah, one scene comes to my mind where Misato goes maybe a bit too far behaving more like Shinji's girlfriend than his guardian
Kaiki is one of the characters whose monologues make you contemplate about serious, philosophical matters. Despite this, his demeanor and attitude to certain things make him appear down to earth and very likeable... Nadeko's story was a good life lesson for any teen out there; can't say much about her as a character, however.
I've added it to my plan to watch list just now, so I'm going to give it a try eventually, but for now your assumption is correct - I want to finish watching Monogatari and likely Taishou Otome Otogibanashi afterwards.
There are a lot of disturbed and malicious people out there unfortunately... Worse yet, some of them end up entering the industry and ruin things for authors and fans of their work. It probably feels terrible when you want to make something and your fans want you to make it, but you can't because of the outside pressure.
Well I've finished the second season and Koimonogatari is definitely the best arc so far.
btw

I voted "no" too, but not because I have a problem with the theme of this topic, meaning the real percentage of those who are outraged by the idea is even smaller than the poll numbers might suggest.
Youre right lol, kaoruko does fit in the archetype, tbh, in all fairness, i do like emilia as well lol. But yeah, with waifus i do keep alternating between this archetype and tsunderes lol, i do like senjougahara after all.
Hard to say, i really like her demeanor in s1 and her power, however i also find cute how she is with her memories erased, i like her voice ngl, it was funny how subaru just picked her up in the latest ep.
Funny that after we started talking about it I noticed the "Momo riding" thread and decided to read through it. It's very telling how very often moralists end up being the most rude and unpleasant people imaginable.
Hanekawa's arc in SS was the least interesting one so far and her personality isn't as likeable as I remembered it to be. "Black Hanekawa" is still great, though.
Yep, I'm on Koimonogatari right now. When I watched Bakemonogatari in 2016 I didn't like Hitagi, but now I see her in a bit different light.
It's not that I outright detest episodic formats, but they resonate with me a lot lesser compared to shows that have an overarching and well-connected plot. But yeah, like you said, everyone has their own way of judging or rating things so totally understandable if you don't give stories that aren't of your preferred type a 10/10 rating even if they prove to be exceptional and stand out from other shows of similar type/format. For me though, if I thoroughly enjoy a show right from beginning to finish, then I'd rate it a 10/10 even if it doesn't have my usual preferred type of story/format.
Well...like I said, there are a few exceptions to that, and Natsume Yuujinchou is one of them. Natsume Yuujinchou has such a soothing atmosphere that just got me hooked right of the bat. I love how the normally calm & soothing atmosphere gets a bit dark and mysterious at times with all the stories and lore of the different youkai's. I mean, almost every youkai in Natsume Yuujinchou had some kind of a tragic backstory with intriguing lores related to their tragic backstories, which was something I found really appealing. I just love those kind of shows which can alter their tone/nature from time to time (obviously in a way so that change of the tone doesn't feel forced) and Natsume Yuujinchou does this thing masterfully with how it from time to time alters between soothingly calming and mysteriously haunting.
But anyways, when it comes to Link Click those different stories where Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang were involved in via time travel through photos.....all that compelling TBH. The baseball/earthquake story was the one that got me hooked in fully, I really couldn't get into the other stories that much. Sure Season 2 basically continues the last story from Season 1, but I personally don't think that gives S1 an edge over S2, because.....even though Season 2 continues the very last story with how S1 ends with a cliffhanger, in S2 a lot of things connected to the story comes to the fore with a deeper plot lying underneath gradually reveals itself (I already said this in my previous comment, it gave me AoT vibes). But anyways, that's just my assessment/perception of the show and I can see why people would have reasons for preferring S1 over S2.
Yeah, definitely plan to watch it. Any info on when it might air?
