Yeah, just seeing the symbol of Wolhaiksong has gotten me so hyped! I want to see Urek again, as well as the other members of the organization. Have you ever seen the Wolhaiksong tattoos some people have gotten? I love the wings design, it looks so cool.
I know, people really need to learn to be considerate of others -_-
Yoooo I'm so happy both of my wishes came true, Toji and Sukuna are back!! And Megumi/Toji reunion! Well Toji's dead, but still...I'm probably asking for too much, but some sort of father/son bonding would be nice :')
Lol I feel that all the time, damn those people with amazing luck xD
Wtf that seriously sounds insane, so like your friend's gotten 9 duplicate copies of Zahad? Is there some sort of cap at how many duplicates you can get of one character?
Haha yeah Neuvilette's broken, you could also clear Abyss with Wriothesley because of how their abilities work (could self-heal and stuff), but Neuvilette's still definitely more broken.
I know, I'm really bummed about Dehya as well! I love her character design and her personality, but yeah idk why the developers made her so weak for a 5-star...
Yep I'm looking forward to finally pulling for Raiden, but saving up primogems is harder than I thought haha. I think I'm already set on who I want to pull for (Raiden, Alhaitham, Kazuha, Xiao, Arlecchino, maybe Yoimiya), but ofc it'd be difficult to get all of them when they come back within the next few months so yea...it'd be tough to figure out who to prioritize when it comes down to it.
I could definitely understand that, some of the shows I've watched in my high school or earlier years probably would have wildly different scores if I were to rate them based off of first watch vs. memorability/lasting impression vs. rewatch, but oh well xD
Sorry wrote more than I intended so I'll just put my answer in a spoiler lol -
Did your brother and mother end up continuing Link Click? xD Aha well here's the reddit link if you're curious.
Aha same!! Wow I can't believe I just saw the cover of the new Madoka movie for the first time, it looks really cool.
At this rate Frieren is definitely my AOTS, but Apothecary Diaries is up there as well. Based off of the synopsis I didn't expect to like it very much, but Maomao is very entertaining and carries the show.
Undead Unlock - yea that's one of my main problems with the show as well, also the humor does not appeal to me at all....I'll give it a few more eps.
Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri - Lol yeah same, and the cases and criminal motivations are underwhelming...honestly it's kinda nonsensical but eh it's still watchable and funny at times so whatever xD
Shield Hero - Lmao I've only read the manga but I'm surprised it's still ongoing, it's one of those stories that has a strong start and it just...fades away.
My New Boss Is Goofy - An unexpectedly wholesome show. Can't say I'd recommend it to you since it caters to the female audience, but since you really like cats, if you ever have the spare time you should watch the third episode xD (you don't have to watch any of the previous ones to understand it). I've rewatched it, like, 5 times cause the cat is so adorable >.<
Migi to Dali - Probably one of the weirdest shows I've seen in a while, but it has a good balance of comedy/horror. It's like the epitome of cringe humor lol.
Oh I could see that, especially with the long hair and robes. Hansung Yu and Leslec also both don't have any sort of flashy appearance yet seem like the silent, calm, and cunning type. Excited to see him appear more in the future.
LOL true. Yea it was cool! Ay that sucks, but yea even on random anime subreddits I follow, people make posts referencing JJK or comments straight-up spoiling it and I'm like ??? I don't understand the context but can you guys, like, not assume everyone reads the manga? Well I'm glad to hear that at least. But woah, the latest episode...so Toji's officially back?!? :O
WTF that should be illegal. That's some godly gacha luck right there. xD
And yesss I LOVE Neuvilette's English voice! I decided to trying rolling for him, partly cause I wanted Xingqiu constellations and partly cause I came to really like him after the archon/his SQ, and I won the 50/50! He's really fun to play. And then I got Dehya 20 rolls later...now I'm super stoked since I'm guaranteed for Raiden. Looks like Furina & Baizhu are in the first half of 4.2 banner and Ayato & Cyno are in the second half, are you thinking of rolling for any of them?
Ahh I see. Yea I hope that doesn't happen with Arlecchino, I'll be really surprised if she's killed off considering how popular she is. Fingers crossed!
The pain of being a manga reader :')
BSD S5 - I liked the previous season more as well, Yasano's backstory remains my favorite episode to this date. S2 is still my favorite season, though it might change if I were to re-watch everything. Fyodor's hidden ability has to be insane if he managed to survive an incident like that....Crime and Punishment is one of my favorite classic literatures too so I hope it doesn't disappoint. His ability better not be anything as basic as immortality or something lol.
MT S2 - That's totally fair, I would say I like Sylphy much more as a person than as a character, and Eris is slightly the other way around for me, but maybe my opinion will change when Sylphy gets more screentime next season. Seeing Eris's reaction to learning about Rudeus and Sylphy getting married will be interesting to see for sure.
Ahahha I could totally feel you, my mean score on MAL used to be 8.00+ and I loved pretty much everything I'd watched. But then after I watched Shinsekai Yori, I distinctly remember how it had changed my perception on how amazing an anime can really be. Next thing I knew, I went back and changed my ratings for a lot of anime I'd watched and now...well, yea I definitely got even more critical over the years haha.
And yes for sure!
Hahaha, gotta love watching characters one-upping one another with their transformations xD
Haha well I don't really care much for One Piece in general so I mostly watched the live action due to curiosity....I will say it's a pretty good adaptation compared to a vast majority of other manga-to-live-action adaptations though.
Omg I love the second season of Link Click! I had high expectations (even though I tried hard not to), but it definitely met and even surpassed some of them. I'd say entertainment-wise I enjoyed S2 more, but as a whole I think S1 flowed slightly better. My main gripes in S2 were the constant flashbacks/padding and the motives behind Jin Qian's actions were a bit disappointing, but otherwise it was great. So many good twists and reveals....why did the pink sister twin have to die though. It's always the most innocent ones T-T
I convinced my sister to watch Link Click (she made me agree to help her out with some stuff in Genshin in exchange lol) and it was so fun re-watching it all. She kept asking questions every few minutes and I had to bite back from answering them lol. I really hope S3 shows the origin of how they got their powers/how Lu Guang and CXS first met! Lu Guang definitely knows a lot more than he's letting on, and yea Homura immediately popped into my mind when I saw that ending xD I've seen theories on reddit and there's this one in particular that blew my mind away and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it comes true. But either way, I know I'm gonna cry cause there's SO much angst potential. I already cried during Madoka Magica's famous 10th episode....
Ahh hmm tbh I didn't really like the Madoka Magica movie, maybe I'll have to give it a re-watch since I can't recall exactly why but....well, I do remember I thought S1 already ended on a perfect note and I didn't like the movie's ending nearly as much. I think I thought the entire movie wasn't exactly necessary? The animation was amazing though. So I can't exactly say I'm hyped for it, but I'm looking forward to seeing if the sequel movie will change my mind about this first movie in any way.
I'll be watching Sousou no Frieren, Spy x Family S2, Kusuriya no Hitorigoto, Undead Unlock (will most likely drop it though), Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri, Pluto, and Heaven Official's Blessing S2! Yes Sousou no Frieren is amazing, it has everything you can ask for in an adventure/fantasy anime <3 Definitely my favorite out of all the Fall 2023 shows that have aired so far. How do you like the shows you're watching so far?
I think you'd be better off buying the omnibus collection. It contains 24 volumes (the original 22 Index volumes, + 2 the side stories), and is a much cheaper option than trying to collect all of the original volumes, which are out of print, and with certain volumes, very expensive in the aftermarket. You could buy some volumes that won't clean out your bank account, but still, the omnibus is the better option from what I understand. I don't own it, but it's a pretty good collection, and I'm hoping my relatives are able to get it for me for Christmas this year.
But yeah, watch the anime before reading the novels. It'll help you appreciate the source material more.
Also, New Testament's first volume in English is available for preorder, and will release December 12.
Thanks!
Oh yes. Berserk is an amazing series, but do keep in mind, it's very graphic. I know you probably know of this, or your friend told you, but I'm telling you as someone who clocked out three times before finally reading through, and rereading it from time to time. It's completely fine if you clock out up to a certain point.
I noticed you haven't seen the last seasons. I'll spare you spoilers and say Railgun T is amazing, but Index III... could've been better. It was rushed and skipped content in the LNs, you see. But other than that, Raildex is awesome. I'm a newbie with the series, but I think you might appreciate it again if you decide to rewatch it. I'm reading the novels as we speak.
You're fine. No need to apologize for taking your time. I'm in school, so expect late responses on my end as well.
That episode was alright, can't say I particularly liked it since the locust monster wasn't pleasing to look at and I really don't care about Itadori's fighting style. but this week's JJK episode was a lot more hype! All that trouble, just to seal Gojou lol...and it finally explains how Geto is still alive after the prequel movie. I can't believe I never paid much attention to the stitches around his forehead until now xD But omg I swear JJK manga fans are getting as annoying as AOT fans, I keep seeing spoilers everywhere. People keep freaking out about something to do with Gojou vs. Sukuna and I think Gojou dying (???) and the author is getting shitted on?? I hope that's not true...
I know, I keep seeing people posting about how they've gotten like, 2 five stars in one 10x roll and I'm like, how the fuck-
I actually prefer English dub for Fontaine characters, especially Neuvillette, Furina, and Navia. The one time I'll actually say English dub is undoubtedly better than the Japanese dubs x3
Oh really? I've never heard that before....I'll be surprised if that's true cause Genshin would be losing out on hella money when I'm sure there's tens of thousands of people who would be willing to throw a bunch of money for her. Below shows the speculated upcoming banners I was talking about previously btw, it was spot on for predicting the upcoming Neuvillette and Wriothesley banner so finger crossed Arlecchino will come sooner or later. I heard she's a pyro polearm user.
Yikes, that sounds really bad....if Pierrot was going to do such a horrible job with Tokyo Ghoul they really should've just not bothered to do an anime adaptation at all....
BSD 5 - People have been saying there might be a movie next, which makes sense since it's not nearly as long as an entire single cour. But yea either way, at minimum it'd take at least another 2 years. What'd you think about the final episode btw? Even though it was obviously rushed, the way the arc wrapped everything up was still surprisingly decent...although the explanations of how some of the characters survived were unbelievable. Like Chuuya was acting the entire time, really? How was Fyodor of all people not able to see through that LMAO. Do you think he's actually dead? Looks like Nikolai might've done something with his space warp ability to make it look like Fyodor's arms were severed....but I can't believe Dazai wouldn't be able to see through that. And the "2 hours later"...wtf was that o-o
MT 2 - Well looks like Rudeus finally discovered Fritz's true identity. Just curious, how do you like them as a couple compared to him with Eris? As much as I don't care about either, I'll admit I actually like Eris as an individual character since she somehow grew on me from the annoying tsundere she initially was introduced as, so well...if Rudeus does anything with Sylph, all I can say is Eris deserves better.
I gobbled up every single anime I watched when I first started out too, but either way it's good that you enjoyed the show! Hmm I might give the NGNL movie a watch then, I like the art style at the very least.
Ahhh yes, I always find it hilarious when the MC gets beaten to a pulp for the entire episode then instantly turns things around when they manage to knock the enemy out with a single strike lmao. Gotta admit, I've seen some Bleach transformation screenshots and they look really cool.
Ah I see, asked purely out of curiosity but yeah same, I stopped watching the OP live action after one episode. The acting isn't the best and the storyline's obviously rushed, but I'm impressed by how spot-on the casting is.The only thing is, Zoro's actor looks TOO cool - like, all the One Piece characters are silly but I can't imagine his actor ever laughing nearly as much as Zoro actually does xD
Oh that's good to hear! I prob won't watch the trailer just to be 100% unaware of what the upcoming JJK arc is going to be about, but yea looking forward to it!!
BRUH you're so lucky, I lost my 50/50 to Mona and got him after 80 more rolls -_- No rolling for Childe for me T-T The only downside now is I gotta change the language to Japanese/Chinese, I can't listen to Zhongli's English dub when he has the same VA as Hisoka OTL. Yea I've heard, hopefully! I've seen speculating upcoming banners, guess I won't be rolling for another five banners...but then Raiden, Arlecchino, and Xiao banners are back-to-back x-x
Oh that's weird. Based off of the manga, was that character actually supposed to be alive or dead?
BSD S5 - Yep, and each chapter isn't very long for a monthly manga so at min I'd expect a 4+ year wait for S6. That's...crazy to think about lol.
MT S2 - Well I sure hope so too, I didn't expect Rudeus not figuring out who Sylphie is to be dragged out for so long...I guess whether one likes this arc mostly depends on whether you care about Rudeus and/or Sylphie at all cause I just want Rudeus to move on to finding his family already. :S
Rurouni Kenshin - LOL I definitely would've by now if it wasn't for me holding out to the hope that it will feature at least one episode of Kenshin's past...
Bleach - Huh....how did that character heal from having sound as a power? Yea badass characters are all you really need for watchers to gobble up a show lol. Like NGNL, with the characters being OP and smart af but the logic and writing of the games are stupid. Maybe the movie is better idk.
Oh wow yeah, I've heard about how OP Aizen is but that sounds crazy lol. So how was he defeated (?) in the Soul Society arc? I see some pictures of him with an eyepatch, did someone stab his eyeballs or did he sacrifice it for something or what. xd
Also - kinda random, but did you/are you watching the One Piece live action?
And OMG did you hear the rumors about ToG season 2 being two cour? I desperately hope that's true! 2024 has so many good anime coming out, it can't come sooner >.< I just want an official release date, trailer, anything...
Wow Shibuya arc is getting really hyped up O.O Poster looks cool but where is Sukuna :(
Ohhh I vaguely remember a character like that. I'm definitely gonna re-read ToG season 2 after the anime comes out.
I have 25K primogems saved up with 70 pity, Zhongli better come or I'm gonna sue someone lol. Oh nice! I was kinda starting to regret not rolling for Wanderer but hopefully Xiao comes out soon so it'll be worth it. x3
Oh is it for the PJWS weapon for Xiao? That's the only weapon I know that's good for him. But yea my weapon luck is shit too, from the wish banners I got seven 4 star catalyst weapons + seven 4 star bows...one 4 star sword and zero pole arms. -_-
Yea it sounds too much of a stretch of a twist xD Have you done any Fontaine stuff yet? The underwater exploration is so fun! The archon storyline is easily the best too, alongside Sumeru's. Definitely my favorite region already.
Yep I'd heard the TG second season was on a whole other level of bad, I stopped watching after four episodes cause I was so confused on what was going on.
Ohhh I wonder who :o I was looking forward to watching the next JJK episode, but looks like it won't be out until the end of August D:
Ohh that's some nice art! Who the heck is Verdi though, think she's the only character I dont recognize xD They even made Rachel waifu material lmao. Ah yeah I feel, that's definitely frustrating.
Wtf is that luck T-T And here I am with over 150 rolls in standard and limited banners combined with zero 5 star characters. I lost my first 50/50 standard pity to a 5 star catalsyt weapon I'm probably not even gonna use (Lost Prayer). Literally all the characters I use/want are either sword or polearm users. x-x The only good luck I've had is getting Xingqiu as my first 4 star character and sacrificial sword. He and Xiangling are hard carrying my team lol. How do you like Xiao vs. Scaramouche gameplay btw? I was really tempted to get Scaramouche cause of Lost Prayer, but ultimately decided against it since I like Xiao's character design and gameplay more, from what I've heard.
I've given up and just decided to save all my rolls for guaranteed Zhongli. Watch me get Qiqi on my 50/50 limited banner pity. I don't hate her (well ngl if I get her I might), but I really don't need any more healers on my team so I don't even know if I'd use her if I get her. She is really cute though!
Well at least you have enough luck to spare on rolling for weapon banners as a F2P, I probably won't ever do it. I've heard the next weapon banner is hella good though, are you gonna roll on that?
Oh phew well that makes me feel better haha. I find it hilarious that there's an achievement specifically for muting Paimon. I've heard theories that Paimon is actually a villain, which seems kinda stupid to me but you never know ig lol.
Oh wow really, just the first episode of Tokyo Ghoul? I remember I really liked the entire first season when I watched it. Were there a bunch of details skipped and/or was the pacing bad?
Yea I have zero high hopes for there being any real progress in the story, probably just a new wish being executed/added to the bucket list every few episodes. Judging from the ED and what we've seen so far, I'm just gonna treat this show as like an apocalyptic-zombie-SOL show.
Yea I heard Black Clover got a lot better. That's true, Asta was one of his first roles, I hope the VA himself doesn't get hated on by people x-x
Oh yeah I liked the Mahito fight, forgot about that. I can't say I find those traits unique either (compared to the Big 4 MCs, maybe yeah, but not other shounen MCs), but it's always interesting to hear opposing opinions! I hope so too haha.
Ikr, people take everything for granted these days smh.
Ngl me too lol, maybe I just needed another episode to get more used to Touji's voice xD Still not entirely on board with it but I definitely warmed up to it. The last episode was great yet again. I did not expect for Touji to die. I've seen so much hype for him that I'd assumed he was gonna appear more in the future..sad. But that's also why a lot of the times I like prequels more than their sequels (ie. BSD, Fate/Zero), the prequels are usually a lot darker since they're not afraid to kill off characters. He was very entertaining to watch and he definitely put up a good fight. I like how it revealed the reasoning behind Megumi's name, and yeah, I'm glad at least he wasn't totally uncaring for his son like, say, Gon's father lol. I was really looking forward to seeing Touji and present Megumi meet...now my hopes were all dashed, just like that T-T And wow ofc we already know it from the first season but Gojou is seriously wayyy too OP lol.
Ohh I love aquatic parks as well, definitely prefer water slides/pools over roller coasters and stuff lol.
Ah I've seen character art from that game before, didn't know that game was where they originated from. That definitely sounds annoying, farming is always so tiring, especially when you spend hours on it and just end up getting junk items instead :x
For sure, white hair + red eyes combo = instant 10/10. I've never heard of that theory but that definitely sounds cool! Yea I'm never gonna believe I could actually get a 5 star character I want until I have enough primogems for 180 rolls lol. My sister recently tried rolling for Scaramouche and was literally fine with any 5 star character aside from Qiqi if she lost the 50/50 since that's the only 5 star character she had so far, and lo and behold...she got another copy of Qiqi. xD
Oh shoot, I'd just assumed you're caught up, I'm sorry for semi-spoiling x-x But yeah Sumeru's definitely my favorite archon quest by far, but also the longest so it's a good idea to run through it only when you have the time.
Omg that's literally it, I didn't find Paimon that annoying either until I had spent ~2 weeks gathering fishing materials for The Catch weapon and her voice/repetitive lines drove me NUTS. But yea for once she has some funny dynamics with other characters during the Sumeru archon quest, unlike before when it felt like she was just there for narrative sake.
Good idea xD Definitely need breaks from those kinds of heavy-hitting manga.
For real, I wish the production team would just learn it's usually best to stick with the manga cause 90% of the time the anime-original scenes just end up ruining everything...
Same, I definitely enjoyed the third episode the most so far. While it's still kinda dumb fun and I could see the storyline/comedy getting repetitive, at least the message of the show is very relatable.
Honestly, not that great overall, but I've never had high expectations of summer anime in general -
Hbu, how do you like the summer shows you're watching so far? I've heard good things about Undead Murder Farce and I liked the first episode I'd watched, but probably won't bother to catch up to it so feel free to spoil whatever haha.
Edit: Ok I lied, I ended up watching the second episode on a whim and next thing I knew, I'm caught up lol. I enjoyed it a lot, it's been a while since I've seen and liked a detective show. I especially like the chemistry & banter among the main characters + the OSTs. Looking forward to seeing how Lupin and the Phantom of the Opera combo attempt to steal the jewel and the "showdown" between Sherlock and the MCs.
Lol yeah, in my local mall there was a mini shop that sold hermit crabs and I remember when I was in elementary school my mom bought me one for my birthday. The store's long gone now though.
I used to dislike Denji but I came to appreciate him more as a character after reading up on some analysis about him. Still don't really like Power though. Yeah I know, I tried watching the first episode of Black Clover when it came out and omfg, Asta's yelling...I was like, yeah, nope, exit.
Haha well my dislike for Itadori is because imo he's literally the definition of a blank slate shounen protagonist. Like, similar to Tanjiro but at least Tanjiro's relationship with his sister is wholesome. Itadori's motivation, personality, fighting style (just throwing punches), background, are all so basic. I can't name a single unique thing he has going for him and he doesn't feel like the MC at all since he's overshadowed by even some of the side characters who barely have screentime. I wouldn't dislike him in particular if he was anyone else but the MC.
Lol for real, I'm sure the aftermath of the rape scene wouldn't have gotten nearly as much hate if there was just a few seconds showing Robin getting kicked there.
For sure!
I like the JJK current season animation, I've already seen some hate for it and I'm like ??? the animation's perfectly fine, not as good as previous season but still good and better than Hell's Paradise. People complain about everything smh.
I'm gonna get hated on for this if I ever voiced my opinion on a forum or something, but I do not like Toji's VA xD It has too much of an "old geezer" voice imo. And I keep associating his voice with Adam from Sk8 and Dio from Jojo who are both clowns. But anyways, Toji's as crazy strong as I'd expected, I'm happy to finally see an assassin who does their job properly by planning things out before execution and not pulling any punches. I wonder how Gojo is still alive in the present...I will say I'm disappointed that Toji's a bad parent since good ones in shounen are more rare and instantly make them 100x more attractive. Ah well, can't have everything lol.
Oh wow, 3 yrs old? I definitely don't have any memories of when I was that young. I probably got swimming lessons when I was around first grade or something, but in general I really like being in the water.
Ah you play ToG gacha? Which one? I'd played Hero Cantare for like, a month or two.
Omg I love Arlecchino's design! If I'm going to roll for any Fontaine characters, I'd definitely want her the most.
I've recently watched the Genshin character demos on YouTube and now I regret more than ever not getting Alhaitham...his is definitely my favorite OTL. Oh and I've finished the Sumeru archon quest, I'd have to say that region has my favorite storylines so far. The time loop segments were interesting and it has my favorite cast of characters. Love the chemistry amongst Alhaitham, Cyno, Dehya, and Paimon (usually find her annoying but the way she gets really frustrated whenever she talks to Alhaitham is hilarious), and Nahida's very sweet.
That's the biggest reason why I can't see myself picking up TG any time soon, it's way too depressing. But I'll definitely pick it back up when I'm in the mood.
Yea can't exactly say I'd recommend Black Butler, it's entertaining to watch but the storyline's all over the place lol. Doesn't help that half of the first season and the entire second season are entirely anime-original and horribly written.
Zom 100 seems like a turn-your-brain-off kind of show, still not sure how to feel about it overall but it's somewhat entertaining at least.
I've had fish and a hermit crab before, but it was a long time ago and you don't have to do much of anything to take care of them so I don't count those lol. My parents said having 3 children was enough so they don't want to deal with any more living beings I guess lol. I'm more of a dog person so I'll prob adopt one when I move out, but yea cats are probably easier in a way and they're super cute too <3
To be fair I don't like any characters from Demon Slayer or CSM (aside from maybe Aki and Makima) either lol. I think the comedy is one of my biggest reasons, the "humor" and a lot of the loud characters in all those battle shounen shows annoy me. >.> But I guess if I had to choose, JJK has the best cast of the four. Although it has my least favorite protagonist.
Argh it's so stupid how people accuse anything that involves rape or showing some boobs as "fanservice." Maybe you can argue that in the manga since the panels were a lot more explicit, but the anime? The director definitely knew what he was doing and was being careful about that scene. The camera is angled so that you can't see her full body and the point of the scene is to make you feel uncomfortable, how the hell could that count as fanservice!?!?
I've heard manga readers say the rape/any signs of trauma hasn't been brought up at all and some more disturbing stuff happens to Kiruko so I'm a bit apprehensive on that front. But I guess I'll hold off on further judgment until I read through the manga myself. My biggest problem with that is that it feels icky to think about how rape had to be used in order to get Kiruko to face some sort of identity crisis....I just hope that that wasn't the main goal and the author has good plans for Robin, cause the way his character turned out is definitely my biggest gripe with the story. I like Kiruko's chemistry with Maru, but I hope he won't try to sexually attack Kiruko ever again. I was hoping for Maru to brutally kick/chop Robin's dick off or something, like that would've been a somewhat satisfying solution without killing him off lol. Yea I read through the manga chapters that were animated, the anime did a fantastic job.
For sure! Oh damn I forgot it's monthly, the anime would definitely take at least another 2 years for the sequel then...yea I'm gonna read the manga then x3
Looking forward to it! Jujutsu Kaisen's first episode was pretty great already loving it without Itadori as the MC, and I see Megumi's father already made his debut!
Oh yeah you have mentioned it before. The only sport I can say I'm decent at is swimming.
That's nice, I guarantee that with my luck I'd only ever get 5 stars from the pity rolls. I've heard about Inazuma! Haven't gotten there yet but I'm pretty close I think.
Nah I didn't get Alheithem :') I've mostly just been prioritizing dailies instead of doing anything else so I didn't get enough primogems for pity rolls. I'm getting a new laptop in a few days so I'll start doing story quests then! I'm not interested in anyone from the next two banners...someone told me Zhongli and Childe are on the one after and I hope that's true, cause I'll be saving up for either one of them.
I miss Shidou, he hasn't appeared in the manga for a long time (due to the structure of the current arc) and I'm waiting for him to come back for the manga to become peak again T-T But yea lmk when you catch up to the latest chapters, the current arc...hmm well let's just say I have certain opinions so I'm interested to know what you'll think lol.
That'd be really nice. I have some hope, Tokyo Ghoul is still pretty damn popular and quite a few anime lately have been getting new adaptations from different studios after 5+ years. Dunno if you've heard of the series, but Black Butler getting a new sequel (from Cloverworks of all studios!) is my biggest shock of the decade o-o
And holy moly I just watched the first episode of Zom 100, can't say I like the storyline writing (though I greatly appreciate its showcase of labor exploitation) but the animation/directing has got to be the one of the best I've seen in a long time.
Lol same, but it was a good last episode! Finally Shima told Ririka how he really felt, I didn't expect the drama to end so quickly but in hindsight I'm glad it didn't get dragged out.
Damn I really dislike being the youngest one, I've never had a pet before either so I'm like, welp if I ever have to take care of a pet/child, I'm doomed...
Yeah the manga's super good, the later chapters are amazing! Really wish there will be a 2nd season, but the studio rarely - if ever - makes sequels, so I don't have high hopes :x
Same, I think it's cause all of the latest popular battle shounen have been getting super good animation (Demon Slayer, JJK, CSM) and Hell's Paradise is mainly popular cause of the beautiful fights/manga art, so when the animation doesn't live up to the expectations....but yeah, the animation's still really good imo. Haha yea JJK definitely has a better power system. Tbh I can't say I really like any of the characters in JJK either (except maybe Sukuna), but I have hopes S2 will change my mind since I've heard great things about the upcoming arc.
Hmmmmm interesting, I'm pretty desensitized to fucked up/disturbing shit in shows so guess I'll see xD I've binge-watched a few episodes today and will probably finish it by Saturday/Sunday, I'll update you on my reaction when I'm done. Really liking the show so far though!
Edit: Okay I finished the show, sorry in advance for my rambling lol:
Yea I heard about rumors for the Heavenly Delusion 2nd season as well, I'll definitely just wait for the anime in that case.
LMAO even more than Gojou and Sukuna? I find it hard to believe Megumi's dad would be able to defeat Sukuna in terms of simp worthiness, considering his VA is Suwabe Junichi haha. But well, Megumi is very pretty so...hmm, but yeah I'm looking forward to seeing what his dad looks like xd
I'm super competitive as well, only when it comes to online games/cards/board games though...I'm terribly unathletic and suck at sports :')
Yea FGO isn't the most fun to play so I don't play it anymore. More accurately, I only log in FGO for the log-in awards to roll for the gacha lol. I actually have pretty good luck getting the 5-star servants I want so it makes me happy in that department.
As for Genshin Impact, omg why are primogems so hard to collect lol. There aren't any log-in awards and only daily commissions, which you actually have to work through to get them, so it's a lot harder to rack up the in-game currencies compared to FGO. The world-building is definitely amazing though, I'm in awe at how beautiful the graphics and everything is.
Based off of appearance alone, I really want Zhongli, Raiden, and Alhaithem...Alhaithem is in the current banner but at this rate, I definitely won't be able to get him T-T Yea setting off all the combos is super satisfying lol. I totally agree, the gacha system in this game makes me so frustrated. I'm ignoring end-game content in this game, I'll just be satisfied getting one copy of all the characters I want. :')
Bruh Rin's face when he looked so happy that Sae is paying attention to him but then morphing to complete anger after he complimented Isagi instead of him got me rolling...LMAO ikr, I mean Shidou's lines and actions are way over-the-top and stupid (especially him getting tied up like wtf Ego), but it's like, hilariously funny stupid. He reminds me of Hisoka, for obvious reasons lol. I'm really looking forward to seeing Nakamura Yuuichi saying his weird-ass lines, his characters are usually cool-headed and stoic so it'd be fun to hear for sure. Rin with his tongue, on the other hand, just succeeded in giving me nightmares T-T
Ohh nice, yea I've read some of the Tokyo Ghoul manga as well. The anime really fucked up with the adaptation. The manga art is really nice too. Such a shame...if only it got an anime adaptation some time these past few years, MAPPA would've likely picked it up and it would've gotten the faithful anime adaptation it deserves.
Yep for sure, hopefully the leaders will reveal more lore while they're at it too lol. The latest chapter, especially, gave me a lot of hope for it. Haha yea when I saw Gustang's abilities, I was like, Gilgamesh, is that you??? O.O
The dramaaaaa. Usually I hate drama but when it doesn't involve romance, I love it lol.
Shima's brother was soooo adorable, I'm glad their relationship isn't lost. Just a bit awkward, that's all. I can totally relate to Shima, as the youngest in my extended family growing up, I have zero idea on how to deal with kids :') I'm glad the relationships amongst the girls are continuing to grow, usually in slice-of-life ones there's at least one I dislike, but here they are all very likeable. Really sad it's the last episode soon, but I'm definitely gonna binge-read the manga afterwards!!
Just curious, how do you like the animation for Hell's Paradise in the latest episodes?? I've been seeing a lot of complaints, and I could kind of understand it, but personally I feel like it's still pretty good for the most part. Definitely above average, at least, although I guess if it was Jujutsu Kaisen level, it'd definitely be way more popular.
Glad to hear it! I've heard Heavenly Delusion ep 12 is really disturbing and seeing how much discussion the latest episode is garnering on MAL, I'm SO curious on what's going on O.O
Yea summer anime usually has the worst lineups of the year...same, those are the only three shows I'm interested in. There're already more shows I'm interested in in both Fall 2023 and Winter 2024 lol. For JJK, I've heard Megumi's dad will probably appear, so looking forward to that haha.
Oh but apparently, Link Click S2 is coming out in July??? Summer anime is saved!! :D
I feel lol, other than small games like FGO, Mobile Legend's the only game I play on my phone. Just one of those games takes up so much space and makes my phone overheat easily. But yea that's the only competitive game I've actively played. I'm more of an RPG kind of person since I'm more of a solo player and lags on computers don't matter nearly as much. Also, there's no toxicity like in rank games...just leveling up, completing quests, interacting with other players, and trying to get the best abilities/gear possible. Just 2 weeks ago, I started playing Genshin Impact and it's actually pretty fun!
I know, the art for Act Age was insanely good, truly a shame. Would love for the artist to help with drawing another manga :')
Haha yeah for sure, that marriage was kinda weird. But I wasn't too surprised, considering how big of a bond they share with Break. Yea I don't like time-skips in general, especially when it happens in the end. Like, don't skip it all, I want to see more! But yea at least the ending was satisfying enough.
Btw I remember you said you were gonna read Blue Lock after PH but just realized you've already read the U-20 arc lol. How'd you like it? You should read the next three chapters btw, it's a mini slice-of-life arc featuring the aftermath of the big game, right before the start of the next big arc, and it's one of my favorites since it's just characters hanging out and overall fun/good vibes.
Yes! I got goosebumps reading the latest chapter of TOG, the appearance of the family heads always fires things up. I wanna see the two family heads going all out but yeah unfortunately, most likely the fight will be interrupted somehow. As much as I like games, I kinda feel like ToG uses them a bit TOO much so I just hope Khun or someone won't propose another game/bet lol. Tbh I'll need to reread some parts of the manhwa (especially the floor of death arc) to be able to come forth with my own theories, but yea I'm def looking forward to more lore reveals! That panel of Traumerei giving the middle finger was glorious haha.
Yea Shima ended up getting semi-pressured to get into the play, but at least he seems to be having some fun doing it. My dark and angst-loving side thought that Shima was going to break-down or something, but glad that didn't happen for this anime lol. The dance was SO cute! I'm glad Shima has a good friend who he could confide in. But yea, most likely Shima's mother would show up for the play, hopefully Shima seeing her in the audience would bring him back his love for acting. Ririka is definitely making me anxious.
IKR! The characters are definitely the weakest aspect of Hell's Paradise so far, and the anime just had to get rid of the one loveable character...Tenza deserved better T-T I'm never going to get over it, him purely existing for the rest of the story could've carried the entire character cast for me.
Really looking forward to binge-watching Heavenly Delusion! Feels weird to think about how Spring anime are already almost done airing...
Oh yeah feeders are horrible, I also get triggered when people over-jungle or spam recall instead of pushing or helping gank or something. I've played like, three matches of Valorant and never played LoL before. Mainly cause my laptop is pretty old so my ping would be really shitty. I'd played Mobile Legends (yea I know it's basically a ripoff of LoL) a lot, since 2017 but stopped about a year ago cause it was making my phone die lol.
Yeah sasaeng fans are deranged.
Haha not really, mainly cause I like to read a lot of posts about anime/manga and characters I like so I get other people's perspectives and good insights. But yeah same, watching characters have that "on-off" switch is always fun.
Yep the author is so stupid and gross, and the poor artist had to take the fall too...seriously super sad it happened to Act Age though, I genuinely think it could've blown up as much as Oshi No Ko if it got an anime. Well definitely let me know if you ever do read it!
Yeah the Sablier arc is definitely really great too! PH is just one of those manga that get better and better after each arc...well, the last arc wasn't my favorite, but at least it had a pretty satisfying ending compared to most other shounen out there.
For sure! All four of those series definitely have high re-readability value, those kinds of stories are my favorite. <3
