Atarashi Island is a non-canon island in the New World. It is the hideout of the Black Kingdom and the primary setting of One Piece Premier Show 2023.[1]
Geography[]
Atarashi Island's geography is similar to the structure of Universal Studios Japan's WaterWorld stage.
Residents[]
Atarashi Island is home to the Black Kingdom, and therefore hosted Ven Vendler and Honnete. It is unknown if they remained on the island after Vendler's arrest, however.
History[]
One Piece Premier Show 2023[]
The Black Kingdom was hiding out on Atarashi Island when they were attacked by the Straw Hat Pirates and the Marines, and it was the setting of their battle.[2]
Following Vendler's defeat and arrest, it is unknown what became of the island, or if it has been left abandoned.
Trivia[]
- Atarashi sounds very similar to atarashī (新しい?), meaning "uncharted". This is used as a gag when the island is first mentioned, with the Straw Hats stating they've never heard of it.
