About this game

Maid of Sker is a first-person survival horror, set in a remote hotel with a gory and macabre history from British folklore. Armed with only a defensive sound device, you’ll utilise stealth tactics to avoid death amongst a cult of sound-based AI enemies.

Set in 1898 and inspired by the haunting Welsh tale of Elisabeth Williams, this is a story of a family empire driven by torture, slavery, piracy and a supernatural mystery that suffocates the grounds of the hotel.

Developed by Wales Interactive with a plot crafted by the writing talent and designers behind the likes of SOMA, The Bunker and Battlefield 1.

- 3D sound-based AI system as the core survival mechanic
- Fusing psychological, gothic and British horror
- Realistic visuals, immersive environments and eerie atmospherics
- Famous Welsh hymns from the spine-chilling voice of Tia Kalmaru
- Re-imagining of the Welsh folk song “Y Ferch o'r Sger” (The Maid of Sker)

I cannot deny the beauty of this game in terms of graphics and gameplay, which reminded me of Resident Evil 7. However, and this is a big "however," the game has many issues such as touch sensitivity, which cannot be adjusted, and the graphics settings didn't seem to make any noticeable difference when I tried to tweak them. The game needs performance improvements to make it playable. There are many lags in the game, and sometimes the frame rate drops to zero, causing the screen to freeze.

The game is excellent, but there are a few issues with the current version: 1. The sensitivity option is missing from the settings. 2. The camera movement feels off, as it seems the developers have implemented acceleration rather than sensitivity. When moving your thumb quickly, the camera moves slowly, and when moving your thumb slowly, the camera moves too fast. 3. Optimization needs improvement. Despite having a high-end device, the game lags in certain areas randomly.

Honestly, I really like this game 😍 much more than other horror games released for Android. I know it's a PC game, so there are some quite problems, such as (the device heats up faster, and getting lag during gameplay) (moreover I can't see the cutscenes, I mean it's getting blur whenever I see the cutscenes of this game) . I hope they will optimize this game better in the next update. So keep it up❤️ we need more games like this for Android/ios.❤️✨
