I love this movie. I wish it was for sale on google because it's one I like to watch ever so often and I hate renting it each time. This and the first Rocky are classics in my eyes that show a slice of life in america's past with some really good acting by Stallone. That war ripped a hole in the country which is what happens when you go to war for selfish greed and not because you need to defend the country and he plays a character that suffers for it. Most that went to Viet Nam came back physically but not mentally and we are now feeling their pain in our VA hospitals. I served right after and the anti soldier feelings were intense for all us that served and I don't feel we have recovered for it yet. Sure the military is supported more (as long as things go in a positive manner) but we continue to get involved militarily in things we shouldn't and our best people suffer for it. This movie at least shows the aftermath of those mistakes.

The first and best of the Rambo movies, FIRST BLOOD. starring Sylvester Stallone as John Rambo an ex soldier, returns home from the Army and. He gets picked on by a foul mouth Sheriff Teasel, Brian Dennehy. Arrests Rambo for vagrancy, in a blind rage he lashes out . From flashbacks being tortured in Vietnam, he escapes and heads for the mountains. He must use all his skills, to stay alive and live through . His private war , he now started with the law . Fantastic movie, a must see

One of the best anti-hero movies. There's bad guys, there's a good guy, but the lines get blurred along the way. Nobody is completely right or wrong. This one is an action movie, but also a real look at PTSD. I believe it's a true classic and relatable to the modern day. Bravo Stallone!
