Looking back on over seven years of collaborating with the MIT Technology Review and the progression of this work, the amount of trust and confidence the art directors have placed in our work becomes apparent. From the science-minded brand bringing you news you can trust, our art has introduced stories to newsstands and reintroduced print editions and apps to circulation.
What cuts through the visual complexity on the physical or digital news-stand? What can allure enough to bring readers closer, and pay off their curiosity with meaning, depth, or detail?
In 2021 we designed the cover art for The Technology Review's first podcast release, Curious Coincidence. It investigates the origins of the Covid virus, and also why the search for these answers matters still.
To coincide with the relaunch of The Review’s app this Fall 2023, we worked with them on their feature story about the new incarnation of clean tech innovation, revisiting past failures, learnings, and the outlook for a new era of possibility.
We’ve touched on future currencies and current markets, our addiction and relationship to technology, ethics and inequities of genetic science, amongst other topics. It’s deep, head scratching stuff.
