Dominion

autonomous polities that were nominally under British sovereignty
(Redirected from British Dominions)

Dominion is a way to call countries, that were part of the British Empire. They had their own governments.[1] The most famous dominions were for example Canada, Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand and South Africa. When the British Empire dissolved after World War II, the word was changed to "Commonwealth Country" and later Commonwealth Realm.
