Special Events are regularly occurring activities within Star Trek Online. Currently running events can be viewed in the Event tab of the Mission Journal. This page serves as a historical listing of all events and Event Campaigns ran since 2019.

Event Campaigns[]

Event Campaigns (also sometimes referred to as Meta events) are typically year-long events that reward players for completing a series of Events (typically Featured Events), scheduled over the course of several months. In addition to the rewards earned through progressing and completing the required Featured Events, once a Event Campaign is completed, they will grant the player an Event Grand Prize choice pack containing valuable rewards not typically found through normal gameplay, such as the option to choose a 100% off discount coupon for a Tier 6 Zen Store starship or a large quantity of Lobi Crystals.

Event Campaign I[]

Play your way through multiple events to earn a Z-Store Discount Coupon, redeemable for 100% OFF the purchase of a Tier-6 ship of your choice. Over the coming months, a total of three Events will participate in this Event Campaign, each contributing toward your overall progress toward this valuable prize. Daily Progress may be earned by participating in an eligible event's activities once per day, per account. The 2019-2020 Event Campaign requires 2,100 Event Campaign Progress. Completing an eligible event gives 50 Event Campaign Progress regularly, and 100 if a Bonus Weekend is active. No Bonus Weekends were run for Event Campaign I and any mention of Bonus Weekends were phased out after this Event Campaign for unknown reasons. The reward for completing this campaign is a special [100% Discount Coupon: Tier 6 Ship] on PC, or a special [Choice Pack - Epic-Tier Phoenix Ship Account Unlock] on Console. This Event Campaign was active from September 2019 to January 2020.

Event Campaign II[]

Play through multiple Events to earn your choice between Z-Store Tier 6 Starship Discount Coupon bundled with 200 Lobi Crystals, or choose instead a bundle of 1,000 Lobi Crystals! Earn progress for your entire account by participating in an eligible Event. Over the coming months, a total of four Events will participate in this Event Campaign, each contributing toward your overall progress toward this valuable prize. Daily Progress may be earned by participating in an eligible event's activities once per day, per account. The 2020 Event Campaign requires 2,800 Event Campaign Progress. Completing an eligible event gives 50 Event Campaign Progress every 20 hours. The reward for completing this campaign is choice between a special [100% Discount Coupon: Tier 6 Ship] bundled with 200 [Lobi Crystals], or 1,000 [Lobi Crystals]. This Event Campaign was active from March 2020 to January 2021.

Event Campaign III[]

Play through multiple Events to earn your choice between Premium Tier-6 Starship Choice, OR TWO (2x) Z-Store Tier 6 Starship Discount Coupons, OR a Bundle of 1,500 Lobi Crystals! A total of five Events will participate in this Event Campaign, each contributing Campaign Progress toward this valuable prize. Earn progress for your entire account by participating in an eligible Event, including after claiming the Grand Prize for each individual Event. The 2021 Event Campaign requires 3,500 Event Campaign Progress. Completing an eligible event gives 50 Event Campaign Progress every 20 hours. The reward for completing this campaign is choice between a special [Event Campaign III Prize: Premium T6 Starship Choice], or 2x [100% Discount Coupon: Tier 6 Ship], or 1,500 [Lobi Crystal]. Event Campaign VI[]

Play through multiple Events to earn all three of Premium Tier-6 Starship Choice (only includes ships released before 12/31/23), AND TWO (2x) Z-Store Tier 6 Starship Discount Coupons, AND a Bundle of 1,500 Lobi Crystals! A total of six Events will participate in this Event Campaign, each contributing Campaign Progress toward this valuable prize. Earn progress for your entire account by participating in an eligible Event, including after claiming the Grand Prize for each individual Event. The 2024 Event Campaign requires 4,200 Event Campaign Progress. Completing an eligible event gives 50 Event Campaign Progress every 20 hours. The reward for completing this campaign is choice between a special [Event Campaign VI Prize: Premium T6 Starship Choice], AND 2x [100% Discount Coupon: Tier 6 Ship], AND 1,500 [Lobi Crystal]. This Event Campaign was active from February 2024 to an time far from now, currently unknown.

Featured Events[]

Featured Events are 21-day events that reward you for completing a certain Featured Task Force Operation or other activities (such as Episodes or Patrols). The reward for each Featured Event is x3 [Featured TFO Reward], 25,000, as well as exclusive rewards - such as the [Kobayashi Maru Transponder]. Prior to Event Campaign II, Featured Events rewarded 50,000. This was reduced to place a larger focus on Bonus Progress functionality.

There is a legacy turn-in option for any [Featured TFO Commendation] that you may have leftover. Each token will give a single day of progress towards the event prize. Usage of this legacy option does not affect the daily cooldown for progress and they cannot be turned in for Bonus Rewards.

Once the main event is completed (which requires 14 days progress), Daily Bonus Progress is unlocked.

Seasonal Events[]

Seasonal Events are typically month-long events that reward a special reward (such as a Tier 6 starship) for participating in certain tasks. Once the main event is completed (which requires approx. 20 days progress for normal Seasonal events, 14 days progress for the First Contact Day and Halloween events), Daily Bonus Progress is unlocked.

Special Events[]

Special Events are similar to Seasonal Events in that they may or may reward a ship, or grant other items similar to Featured Events. They may also be less than a month-long in nature, spanning from one or two weeks in length. The Daily Bonus Progress mentioned above still applies to Special Events. For the purposes of consolidation, week(s)-long events such as Galactic Red Alert are listed here.

Featured TFO Reward[]

A Featured TFO Reward is a special reward box available during Featured Events. In most cases, three FTFO boxes are rewarded upon initial claim of the Featured Event's Grand Prize (either via gameplay or buyout). The reward box is account bound and on opening contains a choice of either one [Enhanced Universal Tech Upgrade], or one Specialization Point (claimable by all, but only usable on Level 50+ characters).

Daily Bonus Progress[]

Upon claiming an Event Grand Prize (whether earned or purchased while the event is active), players are eligible to earn Bonus Progress. Daily Bonus Progress rewards a scaling sum of Dilithium Ore . When this mechanic was introduced with the Mycelial Crisis event this bonus started as 2,500 and increased by another 2,500 each day - up to a maximum of 25,000 after 10 days of Bonus Progress.

With Event Campaign II, Dilithium payouts were increased dramatically to an initial bonus of 8,000 . Earning Bonus Progress each day thereafter will increase this reward by an additional 1,000, up to 42 days of Bonus Progress - a value that is unreachable during any Event (thus effectively unlimited).

Event Buyouts[]

• Players interested in instantly completing an active event are able to do so with or . offering the option to purchase the remaining progress of this event at a scaling amount of either currency.

Notes[]

• The start and end times of Events may be affected by scheduled maintenance and other factors.
• “To Hell With Honor” was intended to launch on PS4 and XB1 for the 10th Anniversary Event, but had to be delayed for technical reasons. “Battle at the Binary Stars” ran in its place from March 3rd to 31st, 2020.
• On April 7th, 2020, a mere week after its run as part of the 10th Anniversary Event, "Battle at the Binary Stars" briefly went live again as part of Event Campaign II on PS4 and XB1, and was to have lasted until April 28th. It was live for less than one day before being pulled, apparently activated in error. It rewarded the DOT-7 items, but players could only obtain it by using stored Featured TFO Commendations. The DOT-7 items later re-appeared as the reward for "To Hell With Honor" on June 2nd.
• The "Galactic Red Alert" event was originally only a week long, with 5 days required for completion. On January 12, 2021, the event was expanded to 14 days, requiring 10 days for completion. It also added an Experimental Ship Upgrade Token as a reward.
  • Despite the extension, an unannounced one-week "Galactic Red Alert" event ran from June 24th to July 1st on PC. Like previous one-week runs, this event did not include a Experimental Ship Upgrade Token.
  • Despite being advertised as such, an announced one-week "Galactic Red Alert" event from August 17th to the 24th on PC also did not include a Experimental Ship Upgrade Token.
• For the 2021 "First Contact Day" event, the mission "Synth Wave" was added as a task option.
• For the 2022 "Reflections of Empire" event, the event was advertised as a "Special Event" apart of Event Campaign IV.
