Ablative Generator is an ability that, when active, give the ship a stacking 90% damage resistance bonus, but it disables shields and energy weapons. It is generated by [Console - Universal - Ablative Generator].

Game Description: When the Ablative Armor is activated, your ship becomes extremely resilient - almost impenetrable. Your shields will go offline and energy weapons cannot be used, however torpedoes and mines can be accommodated by the armor. Maintaining the generators is extremely power intensive, so the armor can also only be maintained for a short period and it takes a very long time to re-initialize.
