The I.R.W. Haakona was a D'deridex Battlecruiser in service to the Romulan Star Navy in 2365.

- In 2365 the Haakona discovered the lost planet Iconia in the Neutral Zone, which she attempted to claim for the Romulan Star Empire for the purpose of recovering an Iconian gateway there. Her efforts were unsuccessful, as Captain Picard of the U.S.S. Enterprise-D was able to destroy the gateway before Taris could reach it.
Missions involved[]
- “Revelation”: Romulan Republic players encounter Taris in the Hobus System, where she recounts the events of the Iconia mission and reveals that Hakeev "encouraged" her to continue investigating the technology there for the purposes of bringing about the return of the Iconians.
- “Facility 4028”: Taris' history, including a reference to her command of the Haakona, is mentioned.

- Taris' mission to Iconia is depicted in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Contagion"
- The Haakona was likely named for the Haakona System.
- It is unclear whether the Haakona is still in service by 2409, but the introduction of the Republic's Haakona Advanced Warbird could be taken to mean that it is not.
